    Halls Red Devils

i look for julian to get the job and absolutely pound the rest of that sorry region into submission next year. get ready for the big red machine to start rolling again.
  2. badmarevillefan, best i remember, when sherman was marching through atlanta he was beating down the rebels. get your analogies straight , sheep.
  3. next scheduled meeting for the M.F.A. (mareville football addicts) club is tonight at dollar general in downtown mareville. all you regular mareville sheep who are presently also a part of the fence leaners club and the worship GQ club should attend. hang in there and always, always remember the motto that "there is life outside of mareville football!"
  4. rebelfanatic, your personally attacking a local football coach because you think i am him is amusing. i'm not sure who the guy you're referring to is, but i would ledger a large amount of counterfeit that if you gave the coaching staff that he works for the same kids that GQ deals with that they would easily win a state title, probably by a bigger margin than 7-6. that's embarassing.
  5. and i'm thankful everyday that i'm not GQ. how he puts up with you fence leaners is beyond me. you need to be thankful that you weren't playing in the region you should have been playing in and had to face my team from riverdale. talk about a mud-hole stomping of epic proportions....
  6. if i was GQ i would give all the trophies back. earning something when you are playing by a different set of rules cheapens things quite a bit. go and join a region with other schools that can accept tuition students and compete because as long as you are competing with teams that can't you are not really state champions. sorry, that's just the way it is.
  7. mariville was lucky this year. central beat them down like a red headed step child and made them like it. GQ has to use the ole "smoke and mirrors" play to win that one because he knew he had no other chance. any of the top 4 teams in 3-4A would have hammered tn high, and melrose didn't seem to be very well coached, relying on pure athleticism. if they would have practiced their extra point attempts a couple of times they would have taken marivlle to the woodshed in OT, pile-driving and suplexing them into submission. in the end, one objectively looking from the outside in has to think the GQ is a master coach and that mareville is a powerhouse. those of us closer to the situation know what really goes on and it does tarnish the success a bit, like it or not.
  8. i'll be there - looking forward to it.
  9. finally, an educated response from a maryville fan. papa, i expected the usual name calling and insults that your friends duh and dumdude answer with. u surprised me there. to answer your question, i do believe that maryville had a hard time handling the wing-t against hillsboro. Best i can remember about the game you recall (sorry, i don't have the taped copy that u guys watch every night), it was Hillsboro's defense that had a couple of break-downs with some trick plays that cost them the game. my point to duhmoyer was that you can't make blanket generalizations about the wing-t, or any other offense for that matter, not being effective against maryville. obviously not many offensive systems have been effective against them this year.
  10. the wing - t, ran correctly, will destroy maryville. tennessee high didn't have any success because they didn't run it very well. period. it wouldn't have mattered what type of offense they were running.
  11. i asked you a simple question duh-moyer...you claimed the wing-t was a thing of the past and was useless. I asked you how Webb managed to reach the semis by running the wing-t. Your answer is to insult me and then declare the thread closed. Talk about mental giants...
  12. no one yanked on your chain pops. i ask you a legitimate question and i'm acting stupid? come on, you've got the market on acting stupid.
  13. i guess you're way of showing your ignorance is to avoid the question rather than admit you don't know what you're talking about. bandwagon jumper.
  14. Best i could tell, any of the top 4 teams in 3-4A would have beaten Tenn. High friday night. goes to show you the toughness of the whole region. dmoyer, as for the wing t being a thing of the past, did Webb school of Knoxville not make it to the semis this year?
  15. well spoken, loyalrebfan. i found the following quotes from your post most revealing: 1. ...it is a sign that they(maryville) are weak on their own. I agree wholeheartedly. 2. ...Powell...got the best of us. 3. ...Central fans....have a chance.
  16. man, u guys are filled with such bitterness about somebody from halls. what's funny is that some poor schlep in n. knoxville is getting blamed on here for everything i say. beautiful. btw, i'll be anxious to meet all you rebel sheep there at the rebsheep walk. i show you a thing or two about stomping mudholes and walking them dry. awesome.
  17. I'll be there at the rebel walk as well. I'll be the one sticking my leg out tripping as many players as i can. should be a thing of beauty.

    CARTER VS HALLS

Should be an interesting matchup. Both teams seemed to struggle a bit early in the season to find their identities, but are obviously hitting stride. Halls has big wins over Red Bank and West, with Carter playing Powell tough and beating Pigeon Forge. They both seem to have problems on opposite sides of the ball as well. Halls struggles offensively at times while Carter has struggled to stop teams at crucial times. Keys: Halls needs to make Carter run the ball and Carter needs to slow down the Mynatt kid. Halls has playoffs as motivation and Carter can play the spoiler. Either way, should be an interesting matchup.
  19. On second thought, I can just change the name from Central to Tennessee High, the team that will dominate the rebels. nation, shouldn't you be up front greeting people instead of hanging in the computer department? All you mariville guys are from the same mold, i guess.
  20. I've got a good deal on some Central t-shirts if anyone is interested.
  21. Central would have rolled it up on maryville had maryville's coaches not watered down the field before the game.
  22. If you guys don't mind, I'm coming a little early to set up my t-shirt stand right in the middle of you fence leaners. You guys will be begging me for them once the game is over, so you'd better get yours early.
  23. ronnie, That's funny stuff. Because some guy at Halls has the same knowledge that I do concerning maryville's smoke & mirror offense and happens to be a wrestling fan, you assume I'm him? I know several idiots in and around Knoxville, but I don't assume that you are one of them. Your logic is funny. BTW, I'll come down Friday and meet you fence leaners and explain a thing or two to you.
  24. maryville fans/sheep/worshipers, Here's a good visual for you to use to prepare for what's coming your way friday night. Go out to the nearest cow pasture (just step out back of the trailer) and find a good pile of fresh, smelly cow dung. Now take your favorite maryville jersey and stomp it down in the fresh pile. You beginning to understand now? ronnie boy, As I've told you many times, your obsession with Halls is comical. I guessing one of your coacht buddies has given you some bad infro-mation. Either way, I find it funny that you think by hammering the Halls coaching staff that you are referring to me. If you want to humor yourself and associate me with them, then so be it. I'd rather be associated with that bunch any day of the year than anything south of knoxville. Come out on the field after Central hands it to you friday night and we'll dance a little jig in honor of Coach Helton and the boys.
  25. I hope all you maryville sheep are on here Monday morning to face the music when the bobcats destroy what's left of the maryville program.
