Baylor got the Pat Summitt job action. If that was a foul on the Baylor player then it was a foul on Davis for over the back. The official blew his whistle and the game. If it was anybody put Tennessee or UConn there would not have been a whistle. It is obvious that the NCAA wants TN vs UConn in the finals. All we can hope for is that TN luck has run out tonight vs Stanford.

Diamond, Now we have gone from you being there and hearing it to someone else telling you after Uner told them. Yeah, ok. I am sure people are going to believe a 15 year old kid, at the time, over a coach with 20 years of experience. This post may be about the best recruiter as you say, but there is no reason for you to get on here and accuse someone of something that you say you heard and then say that someone else told you after they were told. You need to get your facts straight and not make accusations about someone without them being able to refute those accusations. Go back to history class and learn some facts and quit throwing untruths around. I realize you as well as everyone one is going to believe whatever you choose to believe. As we all know, perception is reality. Have a nice life.

I am sure if, in fact, Coach Prudden said that she would not have said it so that someone else could hear it and have it end up spread all around by someone like yourself. Give me a break. I guess the next thing you will say is that you and Coach P are buds and she does this all the time. Get over it and go on and trash someone else. Coach Prudden has way too much class to get involved with something like you describe.

I guess we know for sure that Coach Prudden tried to recruit Melissa Uner. Interesting. Could she have been at the game to watch some of her kids play AAU ball that were already living in and attending Oak Ridge. Might have been there to watch some of her friends kids play. I don't guess that could ever happen. I am sure that we got that breaking news straight from the horses mouth. Keep on guessing cause that one is way off base. Also, I hadn't noticed that Uner had signed or committed to a school. Guess she is still weighing her options.

Coach Lesley Smith did not take Farragut to the State Tournament.

They have been treating most people with the same disrespect as all have mentioned for the past 10 plus years. You enter into to their kingdom and live by their rules or whatever they decide the rules are at the moment. They are a direct reflection of King Ronnie and staff. The entire staff at MTSU that I have had chance to have encounters with are jerks.

How about a girl dunking at the dunking booth at the fair. That would be something to see.

Johnnyboy, I live in the real world. Just looking at the recent past. Not only has Tennessee not won a national championship in several years, they can't even win a SEC championship. They did sign a top recruiting class and those players have to prove they can get it done together. May not be enough basketballs for that group. Some of them will have to prove that they can be unselfish enough to win a championship. Great teams have great players no doubt, but they also have players that know how to play their role. Just like when Holtzclaw was at Tennessee she needed support players to help them win national championships. Even though Geno says we have Diana and you don't and that is why we win, now he does not have the supporting cast that he once had and therefore they may not be able to pull it all together this year as in the past. This is just one person's opinion for what it's worth. Just like yours is. For Cait's sake I hope she chooses the school that makes her happy. She has already proven that she is in a class by herself. The sub state game vs Greeneville should prove to Cait and everyone else that a good supporting cast is needed to win games. Not just one superstar.

Coach K from Powell would be a good choice for anyone. From what I have observed he is the main reason from the coaching side that Powell is having such an outstanding year. Don't really know if he would leave the mountains and the hillbillies of East Tn for the beautiful rolling hills and a step up in culture of Middle Tn. Clay Young maybe a short time from hanging it up and that would be a good reason for Coach K to stay @ Powell. That is if he is in love with East TN.

Zak, Thanks once again. I don't really have a team, just enjoy "good" girls basketball. I normally make it to the state tournament, but this year duty calls and I have to do the work thing. First one I have missed in about 25 years. Prolly before you were even around. That is not meant as a negative statement. Just trying to relate to younger folk.

Zak, Just trying to add a little humor to the discussion. You actually said Knoxville, not Knox county and I do believe that Powell has its own Post Office and its own zip code. I was not disputing that the gold ball had been in Knoxville, just thought Powell was in Powell and most people I know say they are from Powell, not Knoxville. Oh by the way thanks for the compliment. Didn't know that I was smart or almighty. Showtime, I am not disputing the fact that he left Oak Ridge. I don't think that he was run out of Oak Ridge as you stated. I don't think Coach Prudden would say that. He was given every opportunity to stay. When you work for someone, you usually work on their terms not yours. I'm sure since you are a close personal friend of Lynn's then you, without a doubt, would have all of the facts surrounding the situation. Not for me to dispute somone elses facts. Maybe it is funny that Greeneville is playing in the state tourney and Oak Ridge is not. Don't really know what that means. But I don't think him leaving Oak Ridge has anything to do with it. Oak Ridge has been to the state tournament since he left. They may or may not go back anymore, no one can really tell. Mainly depends upon the tallent level and theirs is sub-par right now and prolly will stay that way fo a while.

It's crazy to be talking about where someone is going to school two years from now but I guess that is the way the world is today. If she wants to average less than 10 ppg and win alot of games and -0- national championships then maybe Tennessee is the answer. If she wants to be cussed at during every practice and play with foul mouthed teammates and prolly win a national championship or two, then Geno is prolly the answer. If her objective is to get a great education and win at the same time, then Duke would be a good choice. But don't forget, there is also good ole East TN Andy out there. By going to Georgia she could keep up to date on the game of basketball if Coach Harick's class is still being offered in Athens. Surely we can't forget the reigning SEC Champions, the Lady Commodores, another great place to get a quality education. So many quality choices and so little time to make a decision. Oh well, decisions, decisions, decisions.

Maybe you should have the facts about Burkey before you go spouting off about him being run out of town. Of course, we wouldn't want the facts to cloud the issue of him leaving Oak Ridge. I wouldn't believe everything that you are told about what some people believe happened in that situation. There are only a handfull of people that really know what happened and I don't imagine that each and every one of them are telling the whole story. All of this really has nothing to do with Coach B coaching Greeneville to the State tourney. You could have made your picks without mentioning anything about that situation. But I guess children will play. Seems to be all that is on this site anymore. I thougt this might stir up a few folks for a couple of days until the action starts.

It is my understanding that the King gets 18%, but I could be wrong. What exactly does he need that money for other than to defend himself in all of the lawsuits that he has gotten himself into.

What more can be said, as everyone knows the kid has a long way to go if he ever is going to be a successful coach. Doubt he will ever make it. Cleveland deserves better and should have better. On the other hand, maybe they like what they have.

Why not just have the game at Powell and say to heck with Ronnies rules. You can say what you wish about the board of control, but Ronnie controls everything. If this had been a middlle Tennessee powerhouse there would never have been a problem. Have the game at Powell and move on. This is much ado about nothing.
