  1. Summer Team Camp Dates June 7th, 8th, and 9th Men's For much more information, and/or to sign up, visit: EaglevilleBasketball.com then click on the appropriate link.
  2. Rules shouldn't be CHANGED on individual purposes. He wasn't asking for a rule CHANGE. He was asking for TSSAA to take a look at the situation, and come to the decision that the kid had nothing to do with it. I mean, it's just a peice of paper, why couldn't they have filled it out right then? The coach is obviously at fault, not the kid. And, if TSSAA can't see this, or refuses to look at this situation, what good are they? TSSAA's job is to set rules, enforce rules, have certified referees, and evaluate special situations. Am I wrong? And by the way, these are two TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SITUATIONS!!!! An unhealthy infection and an unfilled-out peice of paper. Big difference. You were contagious. He was screwed. Yeah, i mean, it stinks for you that you didn't get to go, that's for sure, and yes, you should've been able to wrestle with it covered. But, this IS a different situation, there is no doubt about it.
  3. Matt Miller is a Junior that attends Eagleville High School. Eagleville has no wrestling team, so he wrestles for Riverdale. He has wrestled for Riverdale for the past three years, his coach always filling out the correct paper work. That is..............until this year. He didn't have the form filled out for this year, and when TSSAA sent Riverdale a letter of this situation, the coach was fired on the spot (which, of course, he should be). Matt was not on the eligibility list. He got 3rd in Region 5, as a Junior, and would've got second, except he had to face Freshman Sensation Kelly Felix. Matt is the ONLY wrestler that earned an escape on this kid. He is the second best wrestler in the region, no doubt. He would've been VERY successful at the state level, most likely, top 6 this year, but, has no chance, which makes his path for next year that much harder. Once again, a talented athlete getting punished for a coach's misconduct. It's a shame, what a talent! Down the drain..............
  4. alright, matt, well hey, call me when you know any more, like what time frame you'll be playin tomorrow. We'd come tonite, but we got a game. We are plannin on goin tomorrow, fo real, dawg. Sorry, everybody at CoachT, this is not a basketball post. Sorry for the inconvenience. And, thanks for using MY FREAKIN REAL NAME! Appreciate it, stupid.
  5. Let's not forget, Defending Tournement District MVP, Nathan Robinson of Eagleville. The Eagles always strap it on, come tourney time.
  6. Eagleville also beat Cornersville, January 6th, at Cornersville, 50-40, i believe, they beat them by 10 in single overtime, for sure. Also, the previous post, Cascade, was at cascade. Their record should be 4-5 district, i beleive.
  7. Eagleville beat cascade Tues, the 13th, January, it's not on your schedule, but it's a district game. They beat them by 12 pts, unsure on score. I beleive 55-43
  8. It's determined by the number of posts you have made. Notice, I'm a camper.
  9. We are interested. We need some games too. I didn't mean to sound like we are the stuff, we're not. But, it just happened that we've played a couple of win-challenged teams and beat them by a bit, and now, no one will seem to want to play us. Just for the record, we just want some games. I will tell my coach, and show him the email tomorow. Glad you're interested.
  10. Well, I'm just a spectator. But, i know who can play. So, here's my list, not completed: 1) Sarah Karper Eagleville 2) Laura Cowley Cascade 3) Kori Knight Forrest 4) Paige Porvy Culleoka 5) Courtney Brothers Unionville 6) Anna Foster Culleoka These are who I've thought belong on the list, in that order. I know there are definitely girls to fill those spots, but haven't seen Richland play.
  11. Desire and knowledge of the game are always necessary. You have to have good team ethics, make the team feel like a second family. This promotes good teamwork, responsibilty, respect, etc. A good coach knows how to get the most out of each player. That's my opinion.
  12. Did you say "church" league? And God said, "let there be trash-talking" Jesus loves you
  13. Jamar Jenkins is quite an athlete. He's probably either the first or second top player in the district. He has great potential, in my opinion.
  14. Eagleville's JV team is undefeated, and because we have beat our opponents so bad in the first few games, no one will play us. So, if any takers are out there, please contact us. Don't take this as a cocky message. We just want to play.
  15. It was a dramatic game, for simply the fact that Will VanNortwick, a former viking, was now starting on the eagleville side. There were tensions that arose. It was a good game, but still, i beleive eagleville has yet to reach their full potential. The only returning starter they have is Nathan Robinson, defending district MVP. Their starting lineup seems to change quite a bit, which means they have a lot of players on the same level. When each player finds their niche, these guys will be a hard team to beat. Until then, they will be an interesting team to follow throughout the season. Be looking for some bench players to step up.
