it's not about teaching slots, it's about contracts. you sign contracts year after year, and in some cases, you cant get out of them until a certain time period.

you are never supposed to loose to anyone. any team can win on any given night. maryville battled west till the end, and well, alcoa was so wide eyed and bushy tailed that they were never in the game.

jc's patriots are the jeff county patriots. and the only time they will be playing morristown east is in a scrimage in august.

if you transfer up, within any classification, you have to sit out a year. if you transfer down, within any classification, you DONT have to sit out a year. this rule has always seemed backwards to me.

alcoa has the tools, but their coaching will hold them back and be their downfall.

I know Jefferson County and William Blount loose alot, head and asst. Jeff looses meadows and Richie Marsh, now the DC at WB, and i would almost bet they loose current JC DC Jim Hastings as well. WB loose HC ronnie phelps, old DC richard gamble, and possibly OC robert reeves.

you cant just test athletes, you would have too many lawsuits. if you are going to drug test, it should be random. athletes, band, drama, and a variety of students as well as athletes. i like the idea of doing teachers the same way, but we all know that teachers follow a different set of rules inside the school building anyways.
