You got that right! I sure wouldn't, but I think the game ended one day after about 17 innings and then they resumed play a couple of days later.

137 games in a four year career. My math says that's just over 34 games a season. That's a lot of pitching. By the way, the national record belongs to a girl from California, I think she is at Arizona now. It's something like 2,200 strikeouts. But most of her games went 10-15 innings or more. I'll have to check, but I think she had 61 strikeouts in a 32 inning game once. That's a record also. Oddly enough, they lost 1-0. Heck, even Lipscomb can score a run in 32 innings.

Bagwell could be the ace on 95% of the teams in the state. But, I'm not sure Goodpasture could do it without Danielle. I've seen Goodpasture look pretty average with her on the bench.

It's funny how batters like to stand on the chalk line of the batters box and hold their hands over the strike zone (especially chattanooga hitters) and then wonder why they get hit. All I can say is fingers will be broken!

Zeroedge, actually I think the game was on a girl drawing a walk, then stealing second, then stealing third, and then an error. Also, how could it have been a perfect game if the girl who scored was initially walked?

Too many people in a class at Club K, that's my honest opinion. And that goes for hitting and pitching. You simply cannot keep your eye on what 5 or 6 kids are doing at one time. Club K sells dreams more than they do lessons.

Sbcoach, sorry but deadeye is right. The Eagled won the 18u A nationals. They didn't win the gold but winning 18 A is still a very good accomplishment.

Hitters today are twice as good as they were 6 or 7 years ago, and the bats are 100 times better. I do not see any difference in the ball this year, it seems to be coming off as fast as ever.

Dropball, you're wrong, I have not seen fans from other schools doing this. The potential is there, but the reason it doesn't happen is because other schools will not allow it. So, Dickson Co. must have a lock on these types of fans. The sad thing is that Dickson Co. could probably compete for the state title this year, but KARMA is not going to let that happen.

VTEC, I do not understand what you mean. If Abbot throws 66 from 43 ft., she will also throw 66 from 40 ft. She's not going to get stronger somehow just because the distance is a little shorter. The ball will of course get to 40 ft. faster but that's just because the distance is shorter. Could you explain that math for me. Ezell04, I don't think Rhodes is harder for someone to hit because she is faster than Abbot. I watched someone clock Rhodes last summer with a jugs gun and she threw betwwen 58-61. She was consistently at 58-59, but she was throwing curveballs and riseballs. The way she throws her riseball makes it appear to be faster than it is, especially when people are swinging and not touching it. Most of the hitters (in summer ball) are not late against her, they are simply swinging under the ball.

College coaches are looking for girls who can throw a softball through a brick wall, hit a softball 300 ft., and run like a deer.

I watched Soddy play Beech in the semis and Goodpasture in the finals. A couple of things I would like to mention about Soddy #1 They have a good team with good defense, good speed, good hitting, and decent pitching, #2 They have a catcher that can hit the ball a mile #3 They have a coach that obviously doesn't have much confidence in his team since he yells out the pitch location to his batters just before every pitch. Where I come from, they call that petty redneck softball.

Doggiebones, if that 8th grader has to face a good pitcher, she better leave that 26 ouncer in the dugout, otherwise she might end up with this look on her face
