  1. Actually it was a serious question. I was just trying to determine if you wanted past players or current guys who are playing now. It made total sense to me!
  2. How about this: instead of all 12 people who live in Lewis County getting on here and talking about the coaching jobs (if there even are any), why don't we let this thread die and when a final decision is made about the jobs, then we can get on here and talk about who the coaches really are and if they will be able to handle the heavy load of following 2 successful coaches! The thread was interesting at first, but I think it has been carried a little to far.
  3. dotson and leaver are both great candidates for the MVP! Good luck to both guys!
  4. Do you mean who has scored 1000 pts this year or in the past years?
  5. It is really appropriate to encourage men to coach middle school girls? For that matter, what was the comment about getting a woman coach and let a man help her. Sounds like you guys are asking for trouble. We had a little of it come our way a few years past, its all cleared up now. Good luck to the future coaches! (if there are even positions available, you can't believe all you read on here)
  6. Enough bashing, are the coaches really leaving? Is there someone who knows facts about this? CC could always use their coaches if they are leaving. Good coaches are hard to find!
  7. Sorry, didn't mean to offend you Lewis Countians. I have to admit that I am not that familiar with the LC program, but the only time I have came into contact with them was last week. I will say that both teams showed great sportsmanship, along with all coaches and fans. They had one of, if not the biggest crowds at Central. Also, I just assumed that if both teams made it that far this year, wouldn't their program be as strong if not stronger next year? If they have improved this much, think of what they could achieve in the next several years. Just my opinion though. I was very impressed with the style of play both teams showed off in the tournament as well. I still can't believe that Lewis Co., as small as it is, has 10 possible coaches just waiting to fill in for the possible vacancies. No harm meant, guess I was just commenting on a thread that I didn't have enough prior knowledge to type on. Sorry. Seriously though, good luck to both teams and their program changes for next year. Maybe we will see ya again at state!
  8. Isn't is strange that all coaches are leaving this year? Is there trouble in Lewis County? Plus, both teams did well this year, but I wouldn't think that the coaches would want to leave on this past seasaon. I mean they did well, but it isn't like they won or anything. The girls lucked up and beat Chetham Co. and the boys got beat by them. It also sounds like there is a lot of possible replacements for the jobs (unless the previous post was a joke). Is there that many talented coaches running around Lewis County? Good luck to Lewis County in their time of change.
  9. Lewis County girls did play a good game, but CC girls shot a very poor percentage from the floor. If a few of our 3 pt shots had fallen in the 4th quarter, it would've been a very different ball game. The Anderson kid is a really good player, but I was also impressed with the rest of the team as well. The tall, blonde girl really got after it and the 2 girls who handled the ball did a good job of handling the CC pressure. Good luck to all teams in the tourny. CC keep your heads up! You will be back next year!
  10. Whats going on with Perry County girls? I have heard so much about them and it seems like the closer it gets to tournament time, the worse they play. Is something happening with the team or just a few bad games?
  11. If the coach is doing such a bad job there, why don't they get rid of him? I don't know that much about MC, but I have heard wonderful things about him. He may not be getting the job done, but he does come highly recommended. I wish their program the best of luck and if Coach Q is doing such a bad job, then maybe they will correct the problem and improve their program! The games I have watched then play a few times this year and I feel that they would shut down a 6th grade team, however I did feel that they could be playing better than they were. Hopefully they will find the problem and fix it!
  12. Giles County has a good team, we all know that. Marshall County is trying to build a strong basketball program, we know that. There is no need to talk about MC not being able to defend a middle school girls team. It was a childish remark and was uncalled for. Just because a team is having a bad season doesn't mean that they don't work hard and won't improve. Give Marshall County time, they have a great coach that I will work wonders with their program.
  13. www.babe.com- ! Good stuff! We also have to realize that high school students have access to this website as well. Those 'hot coach' comments are probably being made by some of the assistant coach's male fans in the high school! Good luck to their new and young basketball program!
  14. Well glad to know that the assistant coach is hot, but did she win a state championship last year? I'm not sure, but I think that she played ball in school and was a pretty solid athlete. I wish them the best on getting their program started.
  15. I heard that their coach was an outstanding basketball player and that he played 4 years of college ball? Any truth to that? I wish him the best of luck at Marshall County, from what I've heard he seems to be a very hard working young man!
