For AAA, I think Casha Foster from Cumberland County should be in the running. She has lead her team to being ranked as one of the top teams in the state. She scores points, has bunches of assists and steals, and is the second top rebounder on the team. She is a team player and has a great attitude. That is what Miss Basketball should be all about.

Defensively, Lauren Elmore played well tonight. I was impressed with how Chelsey Brown and Foster play together. The tall freshman seems to be getting more confident. Good luck Lady Jets!!!

Who won?

We will lose three seniors this year: Kirkham, Beaty, and Burse.

The Lady Jets got some bad calls but they had many opportunities to score and didn't. They missed their first four shots of the game, missed 8 free throws, and then came back in the second half and missed three layups. They definitely had a chance regardless of the officiating. Although, they made these simple mistakes I still think that Foster is a good ball player and Beaty would have helped the Lady Jets if she would have gotten to play more. Smith is a good ball player too but she needs to calm down on the court.

First of all, listening to the game and being there are two different things. The refs pretty much gave you all the game the first half. Yes they evened it up the second half, but they had alot of making up to do. As for Almader being a jewel...that's the funniest thing I have ever heard. She didn't show me anything... Maybe that was because of Foster's defense. For some reason our best three point shooters weren't even in the ballgame. Congratulations to Oakland and Good Luck in the tournament. Hope to see you again next year.

Foster had Almader's hands tied the whole night. By the fourth quarter, she needed to rest. I was not impressed with her defensively or offensively. I was impressed with the Asberry girl though. The game was filled with way too many turnovers for both teams; however, the help from the referees in the first half for Oakland made a huge difference in the game.

who made the all tournament team?

I think it should have went both ways. They both showed poor sportsmanship. My only question is what happened after the game while the teams were shaking hands? Another show of poor sportsmanship!!!! You kids need to grow up and just play ball.

Cumberland County looks awesome right now. Everyone thought the only reason they beat Sparta was because Sparta had a bad game. But obviously CCHS has got a good ball team because they have scored over 70 5 out 6 games. Thats awesome. Keep workin hard Lady Jets!!

Cumberland County looked pretty good this summer. They went 50-7 as a whole team. They ended up winning the fall league at Oak Ridge beating teams like Seveir County, Oak Ridge and South Doyle. Their size may hurt them but their quick and agrressive guards will make up for that. That point guard is a pest when it comes to defense and can shoot the three. There are a few more who can do the same. They should do pretty good in their district.

How many poinits did Buckalew end up with? I heard Foster held her to only 9.
