Have yall seen this new innovation? Whew, do it Coach Broome! Your boys are killing folk with this new scheme you devised. Very balanced too. Wonder how many others will add this to their arsenal? McGavock is in the playoffs. Who woulda thunk it? They were sposed to be the doormats, but they done knocked the door down. The door to the playoffs that is. Centae, Tribue owes you a raise or something!

Yo Newsflash, You must be OUTSIDE YOUR MIND. First of all if think Bubba can coach you're an idiot to begin with; he simply gave instruction to a group of talented young men and he had great assistants that actually coached the team. Next, who is jack pittman, a nobody with coaching abilities only you think are good. You blasted Baskins who is a darn good coach, then you said Broome basically couldn't coach his way out of a paperbag. Baskins and especially Broome are two of the top young coaches in the midstate area. As a matter of fact, are you even a coach, did you play college ball, do you know any football; you're so knowlegdable why didn't you apply, Bubba-Pittman tailwagger.

Quit hating TUT, the man can't be in two places at once! He was coaching track and it wouldn't of been right to leave and run to football, act like he was already the new coach, like Spears did. Tut, you either are Spears or you're one of his boys. Ok fine. But don't be dogging out Broome. He is a good young coach and is just trying to advance his career. If the principal has faith in him, that's all that matters. Not your opinion. New day dawning at big Mac. Give Broome a chance. Who thought Johnson at Stratford would have been as successful as he was last season? Broome could of had that job. He waited cause he is loyal to McGavock now.

McGavock could be good if all the athletes played football. Centa Broome could unite the players better than anyone else and make them competitive. He could form a nice staff with the coaches that are already there, Norris, Spears, Coffee, Tripp, Malone, Dudney, Van Hoose, and two new guys from Lipscomb.

Private schools provide a quality education to all minority students who are fortunate enough to excel at athletics. The split must remain as long as the playing field is unlevel.

He hit all them 3's when Stratford stayed in a 2-3 zone the whole first quarter. He was hitting pure net from DEEEP. Kid can shoot! When Harris guarded him, he did nothing. Harris lead all scorers with 32. Orr looked terrible. Stratford seemed to take them for granted after jumping out to a 8 point lead in the first couple minutes. Then O'Rourke goes off and changed the game. Some skinned-headed ref wouldn't let Stratford come back. He made every call, all against Stratford down the stretch.

Jamont Gordon is a great talent. But I'll take Henry Harris of Stratford and Bubba Taylor of Maplewood as one of the best rivalries our city has seen, especially the city of EAST NASHVILLE. These boys been battling since middle school, East and Litton, and throughout high school. If you love the game come see these two go at it. Gordon gets most of the hype now, but these two are the real deal. Competitors, fighters, and winners. May the best Eastsider win!

Once again, Stratford and Maplewood will tip it up for the title. How many times has this happened over the years? A BUNCH. I really thought Glencliff would be playing Stratford, but South Nashville don't beat East - shulda known. Maplewood has won many of these 12-AAA titles with Gamble and Gerald Johnson before him Startford has won a bunch too, Winrow lately, Dale Harnted before that and Charlie Anderson way back. Much tradition on both sides. Should be a good one.

EAST HIGH : 1. Calvin Garrett, 2. Spencer Richardson, 3. Tyrus Baynham

I don't know all the matchups, but I'll take Hillsboro to win it. They're the most athletic team in 11-AAA, and good in/out mix of scoring. Franklin may be the best challenge the way they've been playing.

My predictions- Glencliff in a blowout Maplewood by 10 McGavock in a squeeker Stratford by 15

With the big wins The Eagles have posted this season, and with the young talent at the ninth grade and middle school level, could East Lit overtake MLK and the others in the next year or two and dominate? That program is definitely on the upswing and looks to have a bright future.

Hunters Lane played well and deserved the champuionship. East Lit played well all season too, and if them boys stick together, they will have a great future at East. Topperman, I wasn't criticisizing HL's coach, just saying he's loud.

The football coach, yea he's their coach. He acts like a football coach during b-ball too. Somebody needs to tell him he's indoors. Team plays hard and smart though.

Hunters Lane's freshmen beat Whites Creek, with Jamie Graham, in the first round of district tournament, then Antioch in the semifinals, then blew out East Lit 60-35 in the championship game. East has much talent but Hunters Lane played better together.

Before the new year, Stratford appeared to be one of the best teams in middle TN. Then they lost some players to grades, had some injuries, and struggled for a while. But Thursday and Friday night they totally dominated Antioch and then Maplewood. Thursday they drilled Antioch by 24, then the next night whupped Maplewood's ###### by 33> (That could be one of the most lopsided blowouts in the history of that rivalry. Coach G never would have allowed that! C'mon Bodenhammer, whats up?) Guess the Spartans are back. Henry Harris is a bad man.

Where besides Glencliff is this taking place? I haven't witnessed any of this behavior except for Glencliff, who has always been out of control and uncoached. I've seen probably 20 other schools play, and ain't seen any of this stuff you mentioned. Please enlighten me on where this behavior has occurred.

Stratford. Harris will not lose to Taylor and Maplewood again. Maplewood has been playing well lately, but not good enough to win at Stratford in the battle of EAST NASHVILLE.

How 'bout Marlon Simms at McGavock. Amazing job by a "rookie" coach!

BA robs inner city schools of athletes, not students. Never heard of them raiding the chemistry labs for the smartest inner city 7th graders have you? No. They lie to kids and parents to take them from an environment that they criticize, then run them off and send them back if they can't play as well as expected. Send your youth league waanabes, non-faculty vultures to the inner city for some students that are not 6'3 and are not dominant athletes, just good students. By the way, wasn't BA (and many other privates) formed as a result of busing? Do your homework parents!
