Hey BHO The Govs have a big test on the road tonight. Sevier County put a whipping on the Govs in week zero but they got in the win column last week. Bearden has put up some huge numbers the first two games. Their running back (Devin Young) has ran downhill against their first two opponents. He's a quick kid thats hard to hit. If you let him get around the corner he will out run 90% of the kids I've seen. The Govs have been inconsistent on offense but have some kids on defense that will hit. This may be the best game of the week. A young Maryville team played well last week and will improve every week. GQ and staff will have a great game plan and barring turnovers and penalties (KFL officials???) they win... tpoole12

Ah... Two old rivals from region2.. I'm not going to bet the farm but I'll pick the Owls. I miss the trips to Ooltewah but you can't get to Soddy Daisy from anywhere. I can almost get from Blount Co. to Ooltewah quicker than Soddy fans can get to Ooltewah and their in the same county... tpoole12

Surely someone has something to say about this game. I checked the boards and there wasn't even a thread. I have seen the numbers that the Bulldogs have put up I don't think that can continue. Still its a road game for WB and that makes it tougher. WB will have to play lights out on defense to contain Young and gain some consistency on the other side of the ball. I know the Bulldogs are heavly favored but if they have been reading their own press clippings then anything could happen. Thats why you have to play the game. Good luck to WB. tpoole12

Dylan Burchfield and Evan Brown I believe are ex raiders. Seems there are more but I'm getting old. There are three things that happen as you get older. Hey Scoot I'll be out Friday night to watch this one. LC Defense Coach Wilhite (spelling??) is usually very good at preparing the defense. I'm not sure what kind of atheletes he has to work with but he gets alot out of his players. I was out for the SD game but had to leave early and missed the best part. I don't always agree with coaches or the admin but at the end of the day they are the coaches and the admin. I'm sure there's not a coach on any staff anywhere that doesn't want to win. Support the staff you have and let the kids know that you are behind them. It's easy to second guess but coaching is a hard job. No matter how good or bad the results turn out, every coach spends many hours working, planning, watching film in the effort to improve the team and themselves. Good Luck

Not really looking for replies. I visited Heritage and enjoyed a good game last night. I just wanted to say congrats to Heritage and give a shout out to Dylan B. and Evan B. Good game guys.... While watching this game I was listening to WB/Karns. I'm not sure if I was in a time warp but as Heritage/SD was kicking off the second half WB/Karns was starting the fourth quarter. I had to leave early so I could pick up dinner at Panchos. Mrs. tpoole12 would have had my hide if I didn't bring something home. (tpoole12 Jr. was also getting concerned). I may have missed the best part of the game. I had to sit in the truck to hear the final. GO Mountaineers............ tpoole12

Oh my gosh.... 74, Let's not dig up old bone.... That was one of those calls that I'd hate to have had to make... As far as the pass interference call. To me it looked like a good defensive play but if ML was in his normal place in the stands I'd have to say he had as good of a look as anyone... As I said earlier in my "hater" post.. This was one of the best games I ever saw.. It ranks up there with the WB/Maryville game from three years ago... Everyone got their money's worth... tpoole12 Sunshine.....

Oh nay nay ML..Sorry you feel that way... There are to many kids I know on both teams for me to be a hater.... of either... I contribute money to most of the youth programs... (your's included) I will be pulling for the Rebels the rest of the way except for the WB game but I think we both can guess that outcome.... If it was the feed the machine comment that makes me a hater then you need to know whom it was directed. There is a certain individual whom I know that is Rebel fan that tells me that at least a hundred times a year. They guaranteed me that Maryville would win last night. Well... The game sure didn't go well for the Gov's. Congratulations to the Bears, "ole" SCBear was pretty accurate about their new QB. Pretty good arm... Real good set of wheels.... Some tough running backs.... Good luck the rest of the way................ The Gov's do have some work to do... I know Zach Witt has a ton of heart but I'm not sure he's healthy.
