  1. Does region X get to send four from any weightclasses? If not, I will take Cordova to Win the region in team points, and obviously send the most. I think next would be Houston and then Collierville. Just looking at the Father Ryan for the Houston and Collierville placeing, but I think Cordova has the most overall talent in the region. But stranger things have happened, i.e. The year Collierville won the regional by half a point? Dragons for ever, Wolf-pack never!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Quick question. How did the west get to qualify three teams? They usually quallify two dont they?
  3. Its three days of school out of 180 days, and any missed work will be made up when the athletes get back to the classroom the next monday. They earned the privilage to miss those days, let them enjoy it.
  4. Ok, I know no one out east respects memphis wrestling, but at least give teams credit when they have earned it. This is atleast the fifth time a team other than Collierville has been mentioned to have placed fourth in the state duals last year. Thank you to Bayou Bear for the correction, but that Collierville team worked hard for that recognition, so please get your facts streight before you put them down in "print".
  5. Congrats to my Dragons from the 'Ville. Congrats to the wolfpack for making it to states. I will be rooting for both this upcoming weekend. Dragons forever, Soddy Daisy never!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Jones, can I get a break down of the match? That must have been a great match. Good job to Cordova.
  7. so the district goes Collierville, Houston, Germantown, and then ? What does the district look like for the northside of town?
  8. Collierville has experience in underestimating the wolf-pack. But with Cordova being the favorite, I think the show is on the other foot. Dragons forever, wolf-pack never!!!!!!!!!
  9. I take every opportunity to praise my Dragons. Coach Tom has done a great job with the team, but it was the hard work of the individual student athletes that won them the district. That's another plaque for the trophy case, lets get some more from this season (both regionals and states). Dragons forever, wolf-pack never!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Congrats to the Dragons. I hope they can keep up the momentum and win the regional.
  11. Jose, I dont think I saw Germantown on the results from Father Ryan. Did they get to go to another tournament instead? Well the teams that should scare people are the ones people dont think of as a threat. I know Bolton didnt have a great showing at the Wildcat, but if the stars aline at the right time, anything can happen.
  12. Was the team from Missouri named Helias? They show up to CBHS duels a couple of times and tear everybody up. They usually have blue singlets with gold pinstripes. That's the only team I could think of from the "Show Me State".
  13. What were the team scores? Collierville is putting on a good showing late into the season. Good job Dragons
  14. I know Kent was out for a little while, is he still alittle rusty or has he actually done something with his extra time off? Where does that put C'ville in the districts? A good seed out of districts might determine whether or not they go to state. Remember it is the top two teams from the region that go to state.
  15. Houston, trying to BREAK the rules? If you ever watched a Houston match, you would know that they try to make sure EVERYBODY is playing by the rules. Holmes and Delgado are two of the most rules regulated coach in the region, if not the state.
  16. Ok, Wright, about 160, would have pinned his man if he didn't bump up, and Bradley would have most likely pinned the other guy Houston sent out. So the result would be an even 6-6 for each team. Holmes, bumped Wright up to 189 because he probably felt like the someone else could get a win at 160 and send Wright to take care of Bradley. Worst case, in Houston's mind, would be Houston back in a tie (3-3), but best case would be (9-0) in favor of Houston after the two matches. Other than that, who else would have thought Collierville would have beaten Houston? After the showing at Father Ryan, I was worried about this regional match up, with Houston finishing in the top ten and Collierville several places back. Looking at the scores through the match it reminds me of the 02-03 season when Trey Parsons won the match for C'ville by pin in the last match. Congrats to my Dragons for a hard fought win against a very talented team from the team down the road.
  17. I'm planning on going, the finals are the sat I get out of classes for the quarter. I dont know where to stay.
  18. Any word on whether or not Kent Johnson is going to wrestle at Father Ryan?
  19. I had to sit behind Jeremy Boudreaux for two years before getting my shot at the line-up. Like the others have said, get the back ups matches.
  20. Don't worry C'ville Dad, TSSAA will try out the "blind draw" again and place the Region X winner against the defending state champs (Bradley) Don't know much about the rest of the state, but I would go with Houston and Cordova from Region X. Unfortunaletly I'm not looking forward to the duals because I think it will be a blowout by the teams from the east. The talent in the west is too spread out and there are holes in the line-ups that I have not seen filled, like the 103 spot at Houston. A team needs solid wrestlers throughout the line-up to be competitive and I don't think a memphis team has that this year. Good luck to everyone and Memphis wrestling forever
  21. my vote would be wright and felix, but a dream match would be Demetrius Johnson and Whitt Dunning at the same weight and in top form. I don't know if they ever wrestled, but my money would be on Whitt.
  22. Does anyone have any news on how the dragons faired in their trip into Missouri?
  23. CBHS, Houston, Germantown, Collierville, Cordova But this is just my opinion based on what I've seen from results on these boards.
