  1. Is #10 Millington Central from Memphis? Because there is noway they could be in the top ten, and how is Germantown still in the top 5 when they got beat last week by a team they were supposed to slaughter.

    Grass Turf?

I know of a school out in SanDiego that has Fieldturf, and it is nice!! But they use it for everything, from football, soccer, track and field, and lacrosse. Plus this is California I'm talking about. Anyway I don't think my old high school would put it in because our coach woludn't have anything to do because he mows the field every other day.

For some reason I might pick Covington to win this game. It is always hard for a team to rebound, especially a team like Millington who hasn't had the best football teams in the area. I'm just saying things might to turn sour for Millington if thier not focused from week to week.

I know Collierville is playing Cordova at Cordova, but not much of anyone else.
  5. Collierville's Brian Hall is the best OB in the west, maybe the state. He can run fast, throw far, and turn bad plays into huge gains. That's my pick.
  6. Gtown is always slow in the first couple games of the season, specially after losing a senior class as they did. However, Gtown always gets things in gear by seasons end and will either be a 1st or 2nd seed in the playoffs.
  7. have you even considered whitestation? They have thier QB, RB, and WR all from last year that tore US up last year at OUR homecoming. It's more than just three teams now in region 8. There are 5 playoff worthy teams in the region and I think Cvill may pull off a 3rd or 4th seed come playyoff time.
  8. Please! Cville beat Hamilton, big whoop. Cville is a modest team that might slip into the playoffs IF they don't screw up the rest of the season. They still have to get past Whitestation, Houston, and they don't play Gtown and Whitehaven until the last two games of the season. Gtown WILL have thier act together by then, they always do.

    Germantown

Dang! With Germantown losing tonight, how are things going to line up later this season. I saw the Collierville game and they took the starters out after Brian Hall returned a kick-off to start the second half. The Dragon defense was able to contain the backs and recievers from Hamilton. The score was 35-6 at halftime. From what I saw, if Cville can reduce the penalties, they might pull out an impressive season.

Is Millington really a contender, or is it because region 7 has nobody good except Bolton.

    Memphis

Brian Hall from Collierville, Miller from Houston, and Warner from Whitestation

Is it possible for CBHS to win state? More importantly, can they get passed BA?

Do you think whitstation will beat Collierville and Houston?

    Memphis

Slash, I graduated from Collierville but that's not the reason for the score. I went with a low one because of the numbers G-town has been putting up and that Whitehaven always has athletes, not groomed, but potential for close games or even upsets. i have the utmost respect for G-town, but I have not been impressed with thier performence lately

Bolton will take region 7 hands down. Thier running game is unstoppable, unless your entire defense weighs 300 pounds and runs a 4.1 40. Bolton has the size to plow through defenses with thier fullback and the speed to run around them with there tailbacks. Oh, and Germantown wins by seven. 21-14
  16. Ken Netherland is the best coach ever. But BigSneaky, I thought he got 300 before leaving G-town.

Collierville? Hype? What are you talking about? The only thing going for Collierville is Brian Hall. I think they will pull out a playoff birth, but nothing higher than 3rd in the region. Germantown has looked very sluggish so far, barely pulling out a win over Covington, and Kingsbury kept them under 20 points, Kingsbury!!! If these teams don't get their acts together, Houston, Whitehaven, or even WhiteSTATION, might pull off a regional championship.
  18. the rain might help out Gallatin if tthey don't delay the game. The center is just starting for the first time this year and C'ville always has a gard time controlling the ball in bad weather, ie: lots of turnovers and missed plays
  19. It is defenatly common for Collierville to start five or six players on both sides of the ball. The team can't hold on in the fourth quarter because the team does so little conditionning during the season. They will ware down inf you just pound the ball down thier throats.
  20. Last year's Bolton and Collierville playoff game. Collierville drives down the field to take the lead with less than two minutes left in the game, then Bolton gets two long passes and a lucky pass interferance call and scroes the go-ahead TD with six seconds left. That's a real heartbreaker.
  21. Collierville- Brian Hall to J. Able They connected several times last year for some great TD's. Look for Hall to Able more often.
  22. I have to give the edge to Gallatin in this game. I'm not sure of who all the green wave are returning, but Collierville lost several key players to graduation. They lose Taylor Brashear( fullback/linebacker), Todd Madison (tight-end, def.end), Brian Nevill (running-back/cornerback), Dustin Brasher (linbacker/ off. guard) and John Scruggs (split-end/cornerback). C'ville didn't look too hot in the jamboree last friday either.
  23. will white station do as well this year as they did last year?
