That is such a dissappointment. Coach Bray built up that program so that it rivaled Germantown, Houston, and Collierville for the District/Region titles for the last couple of years. I know the memphis school system is not in the best of states, but when extra curriculars are not a focus of the administration, what else are the kids going to do?

Coach, the rumor about Brittcliffe is a shock, but i was wondering about Brett. I havent seen his name in any of the football box scores this year. Its like he fell off the face of the earth. Congrats to Tom for becoming head coach and I wish him the best of luck. I heard region duels are at Arlington this year, any reason why they aren't at Collierville? Hopefully I can make it down to either Father Ryan or State Duels this year and actually see some wrestling once again. So why did Collierville not get the region duels?

Potential has a negative conotation because one has the ability, but does not perform. Just wondering who has the potential to win the region and is most likely to act on the potential. Yea, I had a 30-10 record going into the state tournament, but that was in Tennessee. That is PA where the level of wrestling is higher. So those guys with 7-10 losses are still pretty sweet.

A person cannot blame a referee for the outcome of a match. I learned that the first year I was in competitive sports and even more so in wrestling where the individual effort is at its peak. Sure calls don't go your way sometimes, but ask how can you improve yourself so one missed call won't cost you the match instead of blaming a human being.

Congrats to Collierville for getting thier butts in gear and placing fourth at states. Now all they have to do is win region and place in the top ten maybe top five at States. BUt until then, I'll be watching the Steelers win the super bowl in Cincinnati with a bunch of hostile Bengals fans.

My pops was at the match and the Collierville kid was terrified, not because of the opponant, but because of the pressure that he was facing. I can only imgine what the kid was thinking as a freshman with the region championship resting on his shoulders. Good luck to the devils and dragons, wish i could be there to see them wreslte.

Well, from what I heard, the Collierville guys were kind of lack-luster in the finals, but the coaching for gtown is very experienced, but so are many of the coaches in region X. When I was at Cville, we had BOTW spying out other guys and temas at their duels, just because he loved wrestling and his brother just happened to wrestle for us. And what exactly do you mean by "Also any team who wrestles against Collierville knows to watch your teammate’s back!" ?

We all know how cutthroat the region is, but during states its a different matter. Because no one gives the west side any respect, we stick together and root for a region rather than a team at states. So my dream is for Gtown and Collierville to kick some but and make it an all region X final. But I know that's a big dream cuz its a tough road. Good luck Gtown and my dragons.

Huge congrats to the red devils and the coaches. Pops called me up at work and told me G-town won, which was a surprise because Collierville won the duel easily during the season. It stinks but hopefully this will set my guys streight and the can get the individual title.
