  1. Heard about "Blue Chips"recruiting newspaper by Tri-Star Sports. I think it's published in Knoxville. Anyone ever heard of it? Is it credible?
  2. Just for the record....Walker Valley didn't give in to the intimidation efforts of Hixson and won thier game.
  3. Walker Valley - Hixson Facts: Ladies halftime..both mens teams warming up on their respective goals. WV girls come out to warm up for second half on the correct goal. Hixson men go to WV's men's goal and start to shoot...FIRST MISTAKE! Hixson men should have left the court. Has anyone ever seen that happen in a HS game before? Does the Hixson Coach not see a potential problem with this? WV men did take a lot of the bballs to their locker room...SECOND MISTAKE...probably out of retaliation for the first mistake. THIRD MISTAKE...Hixson Coach sends his players to the WV locker room to retrieve the balls. BIG MISTAKE! Tempers flare and Hixson boys are forced out of locker room. What was he thinking? FOURTH MISTAKE...Hixson Coach tries to enter the WV locker room. ANOTHER BIG MISTAKE! Tempers flare again and verbal AND physical threats were exchanged. Invitations to the parking lot were made by the Hixson coach and then renigued upon when WV was ready to settle it then and there. LOL...Again, what was he thinking? FIFTH MISTAKE...older Hixson fan gets in dispute with WV young fans. Older WV fan then exchanges words with the Hixson fan due to the cussing the gentleman was using in front of the WV's fans kids. Cop sits in between the fans but doesn't eject anyone. And that's how it was. A lot of poor decisions made. Any one of them could have turned that place into a free for all and almost did. We were fortunate that things ended as quietly as they did.
  4. Things didn't go well a couple of weeks ago when Walker Valley went to Hixson either. Hixson players and coaches tried to get into the WV locker room before the game started. Heated arguements and threats took place. A Hixson fan made verbal threats during the game and had to be tended to by a cop. The WV team left as a team and nothing else happened that I know of. It made for a VERY intense game tho. The referee's were awful toward WV...probably out of fear of the Hixson crowd.
  5. With all of the Bradley hype going on, it seems that Walker Valley's Trevor Howarter's performance in that game has been overlooked. He led both teams in scoring with 20 by hitting from the inside and out and had a good game overall. Not bad against a team that he supposedly couldn't play for and was ranked #1 in the state.
  6. I've known the Pickel's for many years and know how important sports and basketball is to their family. It seems to be a cruel twist of fate for what happened to Kellen. Please keep the faith I know you have! I love you guys and will continue to pray for you.
  7. Almost forgot...McGuire from Walker Valley deserves a look too.
  8. mens mustang 1...by looking at your other posts, it's obvious that you ARE Boatman...or his mother. I would take Howarter and McGuire over you in a heartbeat. You're slow, can't jump, and couldn't hit a side of a barn with a pass if you ever threw one! Trying to make yourself sound better by putting down your teammates is just like the way you TRY to play on the court. And besides that, you run like a girl. I also find it interesting that you make your comment a few days after Howarter set a school record with 34 points. I heard he shot 80% from the field and 100% from the line, and had several steals and rebounds. How did you do? You wanna post some more?
  9. Walker Valley 89 Tellico Plains 58 TREVOR HOWARTER SET SCHOOL RECORD WITH 34 POINTS.
  10. Trevor Howarter from Walker Valley deserves a look. Is one of Chattanooga area's top scorers and has led team to 9-1 district record. Averaged 19 points in 2 meetings with Bradley Central.
