  1. This is a discussion board. It doesn't hurt to discuss this. The only thing that is overdone are the early rankings. The Rankings' people should be required to at least wait til a kid is a junior before he is evaluated. This would help make everything fairly even considering the high number of late blooming kids.
  2. Give me your e-mail address and I will try to get it to you in the next couple of days!
  3. Its just Northside girls vs. Bolivar girls in the 6:00 game. Thursday, Bolivar boys play Bartlett. I can't recall for sure who the girls play.
  4. Not sure about best freshmen, but one of the top eighth graders in the state is Desmond Robertson. He goes to Whiteville Elementary, a feeder school for Bolivar Central. He is 6'2, long and athletic and can play a number of positions. He has scored 39 and 36 in his last two games. He has post moves and finishes strong and he also can shoot the three. He dunks with ease already and gets a dunk about every other game.
  5. He can guard anyone.....the question is does he want to? Jackson likes to play a lot of gambling defense when he thinks he can get a steal, but if he can't then he tends to sit back and relax too much on the defensive end.
  6. Another Stupid Rule from the TSSAA. Who will open the gym if the coach is not allowed to? If someone gets hurt while the facility is open, then who is responsible? Will it be the coach that is not even there? The TSSAA stinks!
  7. It is not illegal to scout a freshman. There are some things that are illegal when it comes to recruiting, but I can't quite recall what those are.
  8. Papa, Papa, Papa, Come on now, let it go. Does your congregation know that you're using the church computer to spread all of this hate on CoachT? We all know that you are still mad about not having both Waverly-Bolivar games on the same night. I don't guess there are any souls to save or members to visit in the hospital these last couple of weeks because you sure have a lot of free time on your hands!? Since when has North Carolina began to sink as a program? Ummm, I do believe they are the number 2 team in the country. I wish her elbow that she supposedly throws so much would've made it over to the Waverly Radio table. I wouldn't want it to hit the nice announcer of the two, though. I guess you're busy now trying to find out who Bolivar's girls play the first game of next year so you can go ahead and predict a LOSS for us! Its time to give it up Papa. No one is buying into your crap that you are spewing!
  9. BOBCAT35, How many folks do you think will make the trek down Hwy 64 today from Giles?
  10. HHSfan, where is the Bolivar talk coming from? I've hardly seen anyone that is actually from Bolivar on here writing! Most that I've seen are definitely not talking crap.
  11. Bolivar also beat McNairy by 40 something, where it took Harpeth double Overtime. But, at tournament time, none of this means anything. The games will be decided on the court. I think Harpeth is a good team and will give Bolivar a good game, but how much one team beat another means very very little.
  12. If Chris keeps improving at the pace that he has lately, then he will become a high major prospect. He is a very young junior and will not turn 17 until just before his senior year starts. He is a legitimate 6'4" and he has a 6'10" wingspan. He is getting better and better off the dribble and he should be scary good by this time next year!
  13. You will see if he is a true point guard when he plays college ball. I've seen him numerous times and regardless of the statistics, he almost always looks for his shot first rather than setting up someone else. He is a scorer. I don't feel like I am putting him down by saying this. I actually think that it is a compliment.
  14. I think that the reason that no one is listing him as the top pg is because he is not really a true point guard. He is a two guard trapped in a pg's body. That is not meant with any ill will because he is very very good and can score at will, but in my humble opinion he is not truly a point guard.
  15. Jay Murphy from Bolivar definitely has to be in this discussion!
  16. Des is actually about 6'2 or 6'3. He is extremely long and has been taking a growth spurt over the last year. Hopefully he'll get as tall as his dad. He's around 6'8. Des has played ball the last couple of years on JV, but just now really started taking bball real seriously. He will be a force his senior year.
  17. I think the final score was Bolivar 88-Dyersburg 64. Chris Reaves had 35 points. I don't think either team played their best game. Both seemed to have those first game jitters. Both will definitely be better when they get some key players back from football.
  18. Actually, Bolivar will be without Crisp. He is playing football!
  19. Hall of Champions game tonight! What does everyone think about the outcome?
  20. The point guard from Dr. Krop just committed to N.C. State!
  21. Of all the lists of ten players on this thread, some have Ricky Taylor in the lower half of the top ten and some don't mention him at all. Taylor is definitely one of the top three in West Tennessee outside of Memphis. He probably has the highest upside of any of the kids on the list. That is why he is being recruited by some high major schools! He has an all around game and enough size that will translate into playing at the next level. Also, Chris Reaves from Bolivar has a huge upside. He probably should not be in the top ten just yet, but next year he will definitely be there. His stats are not amazing, but alot of that is due to the fact that Bolivar has about a 9 or 10 man rotation with the points being spread out fairly even. Also, their two freshmen, Jay Murphy and Ricky Tisdale are the truth and another freshman, Tevin Coleman is catching up fast! Back to top ten, Marchand Cooper from Fayette Ware would have to be mentioned and their point guard...... I think his name is Jaren Jacks...not sure, though.
  22. Buntyn, have you ever posted anything other than Liberty propaganda....I mean MY GOSH....are you in love with these men, err, I mean....Boys? Its getting kinda sickening! Be a little objective every now and then.
  23. 3 of Bolivar's best players (Rhodes, Reaves, and Griggs) were suspended for last night's game and another, Mitch Ross, was injured.
  24. Don't count your chickens before they hatch hoopslove! It'll be closer than the Oak Hill game!
  25. Truthfully, I doubt that Liberty's coach would expect to win. Sure he will tell his players that they can, but deep down, I doubt that he really expects to. This is a game that he could not turn down and one that will help make his team better, win or lose.
