  1. they dont have to win both to make the playoffs. Two Region wins COULD get in a three way tie (PF, Gibbs, Rutledge or Union). PF wins tie breaker with best overall record. But with that said they HAVE to win tonight to have a chance (A win gives Gibbs 3, PF could only get to 2) and only winning both guarantees them a spot.
  2. So, because some coaches were cheating they changed the rule to help them out? That makes a lot of sense.
  3. How about FRESHMAN Bradley Harveston going 6 1/3 and getting the win 7-4 for Pigeon Forge.
  4. Home team wears light colored jersey, visitor wears dark, this could be changed if both teams agree(similar colored jerseys. Starting in either 06 or 07 the home team will be required by TSSAA to wear white jerseys.
  5. Congrats to CG and all of Tues. winners. CG was the better team last night and played with more intensity and heart than they did in the first two meetings. Congrats to PF on a wonderful year. Tough to lose 6 seniors and respond the way you did. pv, you seem to be the only person on this board that has negative comments, grow up and learn how to support your team without bashing 15, 16, 17 year old KIDS. Remember these young men work very hard and sacrifice a lot in order to compete and represent their communities in high school athletics. Thanks bball 35 for the positive comments As for the upsets HVgal, I don't think there is any such thing in 2AA. If you have followed all year, you would know that 1-8 in this league are about as equal as any district can be. Once again, Congrats to all and good luck to 2AA in the Region.
  6. Yeah, they decided to throw that technical during the girls game. Oh, well at least we came out with a win. Sweep of Seymour both boys and girls is nice.
  7. PF beat county rival Seymour last night @ Seymour in a great game 58-54. Andrews was too much to handle pouring in 24, DeWyse added 20 for the Tigers. Great non-conference win on the road.
  8. Rutledge still has a chance at #1 also. PF, SG, C-D, and RHS all have a shot depending on what happens Fri. SG is the only one that controls their own destiny.
  9. Pigeon Forge has #2. I don't know about the rest though. Union Co. girls coach is the district coordinator she should have this info.
  10. DeWyse was unbelievable!!! He had 46 and sat out the last 3:30. PF was up 27 when the starters were pulled. Great game.
  11. We are very excited about the game. A win keeps us in the hunt for the district title. We will still need some help, but it is still possible. We are focused and staying hungry, not satisfied. At the same time we do realize it is a tough season and our main focus is on playing our best every night and preparing for the district tournament. After all this is a tournament sport and with the parity in this league, I am not sure how much seeding will matter.
  12. They have the stats you want for boys basketball. I don't know why they don't have it for girls. You might want to email the TSSAA to see if they have it and it is just not on the website. If it is something they have not kept for girls bball, then maybe they will start. Sorry I can't help you anymore than that.
  13. TSSAA website has link for state records. Individual and team.
  14. Does anyone know the remaining district schedule for some of the top teams. PF has GP, @CC, C-D, @WG, and SG left in the district. Tough stretch run that starts on fri.
  15. GP beat Union by 1 in OT. Great game, GP played without Nicely and trailed the entire game until 4 min left in 4th. Voyles made a tough shot with about 6 sec left to take the lead in OT. Union desperation shot came close but no cigar. Once again, you better be ready to play every night!
  16. PF beat Seymour 59-45 last night. Great game, PF down 7 scored 32 in the fourth quarter to get the win. DeWyse had a school record 34, 19 in the fourth. PF is off until Fri when we host GP.
  17. District tournament is at M. East. The Region is at Unicoi. That is a long way to travel for Region. I think next year we should make them drive to the Gap or Claiborne.
  18. Digital Scout is excellent and can be used on palm pilot or a pc. I think the web site is digitalscout.com
  19. DeWyse is the best guard in the district, hands down. Crockett is the most versatile player in the district. Sauceman is the best inside player in the district and Brim and Phelps are the 1A and 1B of point guards.
  20. Andrews is about 6'3". He just looks taller because the rest of the team is so small and he happens to be one heck of an athlete. That is by far the best he has ever scored, we will see if he can keep it up.
  21. I'm not sure that there is an easy place to play in this district. With the parity in this district, you almost have to make everyone a favorite, or at least better, at home. Is goes back to the main discussion in this board, anyone can beat anyone at any time. So I'm not sure that anyone will want to go on the road and I think everyone has already lost a road game, with the exception of RHS. Once again it should be a great tourny. Also for chill, with this being a nine team district, the entire schedule is almost full just with district games. So it is tough to play many big teams after you play traditional rivals that are non district. I cannot speak for everyone, but PF has played as tough a schedule as possible. Playing Lebanon, Clinton, Bearden, Chattanooga Howard, and Greeneville with games still to be played against, Seymour (2), Clinton (1), and Cocke Co. (1).
