Come on Grad U didn't see them winning @ the Owls nest either. These kidds have been playing each other since Pee Wee's . Farragut has the talent and heart but I feel like OR has us on the Coaching side. The 1st game Farragut lost the ball 4 X in the Red Zone, (Thats why thy kicked field goals against the owls). If they stop that they can win.

Good post! It was the greatest atmosphere when we lived there in 98-2000. I would expect a bigger crowd for SD.

Has any other place in TN ever had two State Champion teams seperated by a street like Alcoa and Maryville? I think it's wonderfull how those 2 communities have such a great love for the sport and compete at the highest levels in their divisions. Good luck Tornados and Rebels!

U just distroyed your whole point. They play a Former 3A and 2A teams. I wouldn't call that a hard schedule. They should be a power house by pure #s but Maryville gets all the Football players. Alcoa does pretty good too.

Our team has been through 4 coaches in 5 years. We have 2 young men still in collage coaching our team. This will be their second season. They do a great job but they are young men who will be graduating in the next year and will probably leave and we have to start all over again. We dominate the private schools in Knox County but the FR, MBA, Baylor, McCallie is another level. I do wish at the State Individual Championships that it was all together. Thanks for the reply. Also, this year look at the cost of your Tourney. It was the most expensive Tourney I went to except for the Nationals in Cleveland, OH.

Therrrrrrrrrrre Back! This is the owl fans I've been waiting to hear from.(Grad, mnewballer21, etc) Long Drive home passing by all the Knoxville teams who beat U. You better change your schedule and take the upper east teams on earlier in the season. But really how did you like the Football Atmosphere up there?

U called it. But look back at mine. I said Farragut would not score more than 20 and usually turns the ball over 4 times. I thought I heard on the radio they had 4 fumbles. Man I'm good. But I have enjoyed your insight on some of the games this year.

I follow a few but my children go to and went to Farragut. There hasn't been much to follow in the past. I've enjoyed following Catholics last two seasons. My boys have wrestled over there and my Family went to Father Ryan in Nashville so it's a "Catholic Thing". Ha HA

Irishdad, do your folks wish that the State was all together? No private, no public schools divisions. Just wondering. My cousins were State Champs at Father Ryan when it was all under one division and my sister was a Mat Girl in the 80's.
