You've got to remember though. It was Sevier Co., the perrenial cellar-dwellers in District 3. Good team to get your feet wet with. When is the next Patriot scrimmage?

Sounds like D2 is in the future for AC. The word "recruiting" is a charged word in HS athletics. Be careful using it. And shouldn't Seymour players be working out or something? Seems like every one of them monitor and post on CoachT all day.

I don't know who you've been talking to but I've never heard of Dallas pitching. Have you seen his arm slot?? Jeff will have pitching. Nick Sherrod will be the surprise of the conference, offensively and defensively and the kid can pitch. Why would you take Dallas out of CF, ever? "If it's not broke, don't fix it." Jeff. will have the personnel. It's just a matter of whether or not they can mature quickly enough.

The conference will be a knock-down, drag-out between Jeff. Co., West, and Greenville. I don't think East will be a factor. They are way too cocky (some aren't as good as they think) and need to show a little something before they are considered a contender. Greenville did lose a lot (was Murner a senior?), but they always seem to be a pain in everyone's side, regardless of their talent level. Always scrappy and play hard. West should be good with a good group of young kids that need to step up and play like veterans. Jefferson Co. will ride Drew Story as far as they can, but don't be surprised to find a few other players throughout the year that can play (sophs.) Cocke and Cherokee shouldn't be problems. However, I have to pull for my Patriots and hope they'll pull it out. Should be fun to see how it plays out. One thing, they always play best when it matters, tournament time. Good luck to all.

Glad to hear the future is bright...at least for one JC team. Keep us posted throughout the year. I like to keep up.

I agree Sandman. Being a supporter of the program, I know what lies ahead of this team and the only thing they are going to need is encouragement. I mean, I've never heard of a 5A high school football team having only 3 seniors playing. I think it is ridiculous and that Euverard couldn't have possibly run ALL of them off. I think some have developed attitudes and pride issues thats they can't get beyond. Regardless, what's done is done. We'll see what happens when the first game rolls around. I see a long season ahead for the PAtriots. We'll just have to sit and ride out the storm.

I don't think that this game is going to be a walk in the park for DB like some think. Jeff. Co. can play some ball. They'll be ready so DB better bring that A game. Commenting on what BWang said about a senior laden team...Jeff. Co. is in the same boat as DB. I believe that he said DB has 12 seniors. JC has 10 of their own so they aren't exactly lacking in the leadership/experience department. Should be a good game tomorrow! May the better team win!

Those stats are numbers before the tournament also. Add a homer and 2 or 3 RBI for Depew. Add a homer and probably 6 or 7 RBI for Bowlin. And add 3 homers and probably 8 or 9 RBI for Long.

Well which ever one the other is, not the TSWA one. I know there are two lists, at least I am fairly sure.
