YES IT IS BILL PRICE'S OLDEST DAUGHTER

I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE PRICE FAMILY AND THEY WANT ME TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS OF EVERYONE ON THE LADY RAIDER TEAM, FANS, AND OTHERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE WHO HAVE THEM IN THEIR PRAYERS. WHITNEY WENT TO THE DOCTOR THIS MORNING AND SHE WILL BE OUT FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON. SHE IS HOPING TO HAVE SURGERY NEXT WEEK SO SHE CAN RECOVER OVER THE SUMMER AND BE BACK FOR NEXT SEASON. ONCE AGAIN THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND HOPEFULLY THEY WILL BE BACK WITH US SOON.

DO YOU THINK THAT THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT YOU COULD POST A COPY OF THE BRACKETS BECAUSE THERE IS A CHANCE THAT SOME OF OUR GAMES SATURADAY WILL BE BROADCASTED ON THE RADIO AND WE WERE WONDERING IF WE COULD SEE SOME OF THE TIMES AFTER THE POOL PLAY GAMES.

The Columbia softball program is very strong and as far as I can remember always has been. There is no question that the Lady Lion softball team has talent even though they are young

Columbia isn't the only young team in the district. Coffee County is young and only have 2 returning starters. So far their season is off to a great start and will hopefully continue that way. So what does age have to do with anything it is the talent the team has and the way the team plays together as a whole. Because you can all the talent in the world and have fueds among the team and it can ruin the season so it isn't age it's about talent and how the team plays together.

The Lady Raiders played a good game. They had a lot of hits and there were a few errors but they kept their heads up and came back from behind to win. So I think that them coming from behind to win says a lot for the team. Way to go ladies.

SINCE EVERYONE HAS HAD AT LEAST ONE DISTRICT GAME HOW DO YOU THINK THE DISTRICT WILL END UP NOW?

I THINK THAT IT WILL BE A TIGHT GAME TO THE FINISH BUT I THINK THE LADY RAIDERS WILL COME OUT ON TOP. THE TEAM IS COMING TOGETHER VERY WELL AND IS DOING AN EXCELLENT JOB AT THE PLATE. THE COFFEE COUNTY BATS ARE HOT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND UNTIL THAT STOPS IT WILL BE HARD TO DEFEAT THIS TALENTED LADY RAIDER TEAM.

THE BRENTWOOD SCORE DOESN'T COUNT BECAUSE IT WAS COUNTED AS A JV GAME SO THE RECORD IS ACTUALLY 5-0

THE VARSITY AND JUNIOR VARSITY BOTH WON. THE JV SCORE WAS 13-3 AND THE VARSITY WAS 5-2

THE LADY RAIDER TEAM IS HITTING BETTER THIS YEAR THEN I HAVE SEEN THEM HIT IN A LONG TIME. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE TEAM HIT WITH SUCH CONSISTENCY FROM THE TOP OF THE LINE UP TO THE BOTTOM. I THINK THAT THIS ALONG WITH THEIR PITCHING AND GOOD DEFENSE WILL TAKE THEM TO THE NEXT LEVEL AT POST SEASON TIME THIS YEAR. THE TEAM AS A WHOLE GELS WELL TOGETHER AND GETS BETTER GAME AFTER GAME AND PRACTICE AFTER PRACTICE.

I think Coffee County will be just fine. They had 3 tough games in their pool play this weekend at the Beech playday and tied with Brentwood and Wilson Central and lost to Greenbriar. They finished in the top 8 at the playday so as far as I can tell they will be just fine. They are starting this season off better than in the past so that can only mean good things to come in the future for this young Lady Raider team!!!!!
