The Coach. I agree with you that the Tiger/ Elite Team was a very good Team.And I too may be bias at times for all the Tennessee Teams! But there is one fact that remains. You had great guard play, and you can win it ALL at the younger age groups with good guards.But @ 13u up you must have at least one dominate post player! It wouldn't hurt to be in the extreme height range like 6'2 - 6' 4". If you look at the National Championship Teams check out the post players. They all have ONE and some have two or more. The older the wiser. You must have an inside - outside game. Just my 2 cents.

I can quarantee you she made the right decision. Coach Moore can win games, Ill give him that. But he has terrible people skills. I have watched him for the past 5 years. He treats his players like crap. Shows no emotion toward his kids. (Its amazing what praising will do!) You will never get that at UTC. If you make it to be a senior, you will get no respect. He had two seniors all conference , all tournament, preseason all tournament , 1 MVP 3 times, 3 conference Championships sitting on the bench! Go fiqure! Just look @ his coaching staff 5 new coaches past 5 years, he can,t keep coaches. That says alot. Beechboard you go girl! And never look back. The view ain't too pretty.

To answer your question. A verbal means the head coach has made an offer of scholarship that she will sign november of her senior year (2006),if she is a JR> this season. Its not binding till its signed and recieve by the school. So its only as good as the coach keeps their word and the player keeps hers. But really anything could happen that could and would change that. I have seen it happen in the past!

Well Shelbyville did impove themselfs with the two west tenn. kids. They are lookin good! However I have said from the super regional @ the boro, the best 12u team would be the West TN. Tigers. They are @ full strengh,their hungry and they have a superstar who can put up some big numbers.They put a wood shed whipping on the 3 time state champions in memfis @ the super regionals. My moneys on the Tigers to go the distance @ Nationals! Good luck to all the Tennessee Teams @ Nationals.

Thanks spree. I can understand that. Its funny about the Waves. At first I loved to hate them.lol. Then I learned to respect them. They were winners, going to miss them.

Question? What happened to the Waves. I mean I must confess I have never really cared to much for the teams from the west. They were always loud and they always cried that they never got a fair shot playing in middle or east States if they didn't win. You know you just get tired of it. But I will say the waves changed me alot. They were a class AAU club who came prepared to play. They were well Coached and discipline on and off the court. Does anyone know why they are closing down their program? Tennessee will miss them, and so will I.

One has practiced with the Tigers.Don,t get me wrong the Tigers are a good ball team, hey who knows what the outcome of the Tigers / Elite game would have been with the Tigers two starters available to play! Only a 2 point win by elite. I just think when you get the call from Shelbyville You got to go! Lets face it Shelbyville is big time. Rather you like them are you don't like them, the kids who play with them get basketball scholarships. They have dominated in the older age groups longer than the Waves dominated in the younger age groups. They have been around along long time, and will be around long after many are gone, like the Waves! If you want to be the best you need to play with the best. The record speaks for Itself! Winning is a way of life. They teach that every day @ SHELBYVILLE!

I have been told the two memphis kids are going to Shelbyville. I don't know why they would not want to stay in memfis and play with the Elite. Unless they were not asked. I understand the Memfis Elite is a parent ran program so i could see were they would not want anyone picked up. Anyway they were the best 2 players on the Tennessee Elite team and whoever they play with, they will make them better. Just my perception.
