I think everyone in JeffCo was hoping for the chance for one more rematch with Greeneville. State or no state, the Lady Pats had a great season, and I hope that they can focus on that and not their loss last night.

I agree barb, I always enjoy watching Megan play. She's got such talent, and seems like a great person as well. And even though I'm pulling for Ashley Huff, Megan wouldn't be a bad choice for player of the week.

The JV girls play Elizabethton at 2:00 and then Tennessee High at 3:45. If they win both, they don't play again until Wednesday. If they lose then they play tuesday sometime.

Looks like the JV has improved quite a bit since last season. I'll be interested to see the outcome of the tournament.

Manuel could've sat out because of her attitude, but she also got herself into foul trouble. And barb, did Freeman even play against Morristown West?

Greeneville is a well rounded team (as far as height, speed, teamwork) but I don't think that they have anything that Jefferson County doesn't. Jeff County definitely has the height in both Huff and Rickard, and if I remember correctly, they both did a good job at shutting Manuel down in the teams' first matchup of last season. Jeff County also has the speed to keep up with Greeneville that Morristown West didn't. JC plays great defense, and I definitely think that if they run it as well Tuesday night as they have so far in the season, they can stop Greeneville. And as far as teamwork goes, Jeff County's starting five have been playing together for 3 years (if not more) and each player complements the rest of the team very well. I think this will definitely be a game worth watching, but I think Jeff County will leave with the win.

First of all, I just wanna say that when you state "everything that Jeff and West have been at together" you need to clarify what you mean. By saying everything you're including all the sports, which technically Jeff Co came on top most of the time. Second...maybe only half of your girls were at the saturday meet, but did you happen to count how many Jeff Co girls were there? Not even a third of their team. In my opinion, there's not much to brag about when half of your team beats less than a third of theirs. Good luck to West at conference, but be ready for some surprises from Jeff Co.

I just want to let Jeff Co know what a great season they had...no matter what the outcome has been, they are champions and they've proved it. Great game last night against Powell...it's a shame that only one of those teams could go on to state. great season lady pats...i'll be pullin for you next year

the games are rescheduled for tomorrow...the girls consolation will start at about 3:30 followed by the boys consolation, the girls championship, and then the boys championship
