  1. There is a 15U Cleveland Riverdogs as well, Always a strong program
  2. If you want to see another strong 17U team Watch for the Cleveland Riverdogs. Made up of Walker Valley/Ooltewah/Baylor/ Bradley Central/ and McMinn County upcoming Seniors. Ther have a limited travel schedule because the focus of the team is more on college level exopsure and showcase than high travel and a large number of games. But anyone want's a competitive baseball game this summer go to www.riverdogsbaseball.com and contact the coach.
  3. Having lived in lots of differnt parts of the country with a son growing up playing competitive baseball. I like the summer travel team different than the school team for several reasons. 1. Kids are exposed to different coaching styles. Your kids need to learn how to interact with all the differnt personalities there are in work and the world. The more exposure to different styles the faster this skill of getting along with others develops. 2. Same for dealing with different types of kids on the team 3. It's fun for the kids to play against teammates from the school and from the summer team make the other team's players real people that are not just the hated opposition. 4. Travel to play team from other areas of the State and Region helps test their skills and they learn how to live away from home. If the School coach is committed to that kind of additioanl time that is a rare thing and is probably not good for him or the team. It's a good question but in my opinion the the summer travel team other than the school team is the way to go.
  4. The Ooltewah Central game will be Monday at 4:30 according to the Bracket's and then Red Bank Soddy at 7pm. I got word that Wilkes pulled a musle in his back at the plate and had to come out of the game after Pitching 4 innings.
  5. Karns is in Pool D with Livingston Academy, Rhea County and Ooltewah. Ooltewah is 14-7 overall with a 6-0 District Record. Plus it's their home town area not sure if Kars is such a sure theing for Pool D
  6. I spoke with Mr Farrow at the Wildcat classic and he said that Brandon had pulled a back musle lifting weights. We will have to see if he heals up fast this weekend.
  7. Ooltewah beat Bradley Central 7-4 Ryan Jones hit a 2 run shot over the right field scoreboard
  8. As far as some of the best Juniors in Chattanooga I didn't even see anyone Mention Chris Jenkins from Walker Valley, Going to be their Ace Pitcher this year, Fast ball in the upper 80's plus a good thirdbaseman and good hitter for a pitcher this is one to watch
