  1. I think at this point anyone has a chance, and rumor has it that Houston picked up 2 studs not too long ago.. like a forward and center mid. Anyone know the story behind that?
  2. I think/hope Oak Ridge will pull this out. Farragut has been in the regional game the last 4 years and has lost every time. I think the same outcome will happen again but this time Oak Ridge will knock them off instead of Bearden.
  3. don't count the dawgs out.. they are playing the best they have played all year, and Turner will have them ready to play.
  4. yes.. I agree, but the skill level in Knoxville is dropping and the teams are starting to level out. After this year this area will lose even more and be less competitive for the battle of a state championship.
  5. You have to keep in mind that Seldon is a dad of a Farragut player. So you can't take anything positive from any of his messages because they are completely bias and Farragut people seem to think they are better than everyone else.
  6. The rankings don't matter. The level of play has dropped to one level where there isn't just one team that stands out above the rest (Houston 5 years ago, Bearden the last several years, and Farragut last year). So don't be surprised if there are a lot of upsets on the way to the finals because anyone in the top 10 could win.
  7. Like I said they have Doyle and I'll give Broboski~? some credit and say he can step up and hit a PK. Little Backstrom will be good in the future, but other than that.. The other players don't play in the big games.. they score 1/3 of the goals against herritage as for the all region crap.. there are only like 3 teams that are good in the region so I would hope the best team in the region has that many players. (the region is down, and so is the state for that matter!!) and you can't even say that this years senior class is better
  8. the fact is that the level of play is down this year in Tennessee. Last year Bearden, Farragut, and Christian Brothers were clearly the best teams in the state. Most of the better players, at least in east TN, graduated. Beardens team, it is basically their JV team from last year plus Todd V. Farragut, has Doyle who is more concerned about kicking a football, and next year they will probably have a down year. bottom line.. If this years Farragut team played any of the decent teams of the past, they would get beat.. the skill level is down and has dropped off to where it was several years ago
  9. make that anyone in the state.. not country
  10. I did say it was a good game, but niether team showed a ton of skill. Not even Farraguts "Four Horsemen"(come on now.. thats gay) did anything. Although Doyle is probably the best player in the state noone stepped it up and played like it... thats all i'm sayng. In Beardens defense (because it seems like everyone that talks it up on here is from Farragut.. sounds about right) they had a few chances early in the game that they could have scored on. Also there 2nd goal came late so it wasnt like the game wasnt close. As for Bearden just trying to play defense the whole game, you must not have seen the four forwards they were playing with.
  11. Farragut won 2-0. It was a close game, but niether team showed any kind of skill or had possession of the ball for more than 10 seconds. Beardens keeper played very well, and so did Preston, the defender in the back (Bearden could have used him last year if he would have played). For the most part it was a close game and I expect another close one again at Farragut for the distric and possibly region finals.
