  1. Looks like the rebels must have already loaded the bus before reading about their trip to Science Hill being a waste. Maybe if you would have posted sooner they would have known they had no chance. Science Hill was too slow, too small and not enough Omar. Imagine 70% picking Powell, Guess we know who the joke was on now. I have heard the state games will be broadcast all over the state, maybe Science Hill, DB, and Greeneville could all get together and watch. Grab a pizza and enjoy the action. Congrats Rebels and Panthers!
  2. I know there are missed calls in almost any game, and most "misses" depend on which team you have an emotional connection with. I do believe that most umpires approach the games in a manner to "Just call what they see" and get it right in their opinion. I can say that after many years of playing, coaching and watching baseball, that I have seen more poorly played games than poorly called ones. Nobody is perfect, but each participant (players, coaches and umpires)are at a game to pursue that perfection. Play Ball!
  3. Maryville did look very good last night, however I have seen the same Rebels team lose to Heritage on their own home floor and escape some very close games with Farragut, Powell, and even Sevier County. I agree that Maryville should be favored to win the region but "dominant" is not a word that I would use for this Rebel team. I think "survivor" is the term that describes this team best. Nelson has done a great job with this team and if it is a close game he always seems to push the right buttons for a win. The rest of this tournament is up for grabs with no team being better han the others. Good luck to the remaining teams.
  4. With the parity in both district 3 and 4, Everybody better be ready every night of the region tournament or you will end up at home watching. I have seen several games from both districts and really dont see a dominate team. Its all wide open and waiting for the team that is focused and wants it most.
  5. Who gets to host the region tournament this year? I am pretty sure its District 3 turn but wasnt sure where?
  6. You are right about the sound system. Maybe the worst system anywhere.

    Hey DHeat

Dustin Plumlee, David Parker and Kyle Hodges have all left the LMU program. I understand David and Kyle are not playing anywhere. Dustin has an opportunity to walk on at Tennessee but has been denied a release from LMU at this time.
  8. Does this Tournament actually start on Monday? I am hearing that the Powell/ Maryville game is a first day game but is set for Tuesday instead of Monday? anybody kow for sure? I know the Knoxville News Sentinel has the first day as Monday , but I have heard different?
  9. Sevier County is very nice as well
  10. so SD ,William Blount, Maryville did any better, honestly, other than Farragut its looks really even between the disticts
