  1. Looks like the rebels must have already loaded the bus before reading about their trip to Science Hill being a waste. Maybe if you would have posted sooner they would have known they had no chance. Science Hill was too slow, too small and not enough Omar. Imagine 70% picking Powell, Guess we know who the joke was on now. I have heard the state games will be broadcast all over the state, maybe Science Hill, DB, and Greeneville could all get together and watch. Grab a pizza and enjoy the action. Congrats Rebels and Panthers!
  2. I know there are missed calls in almost any game, and most "misses" depend on which team you have an emotional connection with. I do believe that most umpires approach the games in a manner to "Just call what they see" and get it right in their opinion. I can say that after many years of playing, coaching and watching baseball, that I have seen more poorly played games than poorly called ones. Nobody is perfect, but each participant (players, coaches and umpires)are at a game to pursue that perfection. Play Ball!
  3. Maryville did look very good last night, however I have seen the same Rebels team lose to Heritage on their own home floor and escape some very close games with Farragut, Powell, and even Sevier County. I agree that Maryville should be favored to win the region but "dominant" is not a word that I would use for this Rebel team. I think "survivor" is the term that describes this team best. Nelson has done a great job with this team and if it is a close game he always seems to push the right buttons for a win. The rest of this tournament is up for grabs with no team being better han the others. Good luck to the remaining teams.
  4. With the parity in both district 3 and 4, Everybody better be ready every night of the region tournament or you will end up at home watching. I have seen several games from both districts and really dont see a dominate team. Its all wide open and waiting for the team that is focused and wants it most.
  5. Who gets to host the region tournament this year? I am pretty sure its District 3 turn but wasnt sure where?
  6. You are right about the sound system. Maybe the worst system anywhere.

    Hey DHeat

Dustin Plumlee, David Parker and Kyle Hodges have all left the LMU program. I understand David and Kyle are not playing anywhere. Dustin has an opportunity to walk on at Tennessee but has been denied a release from LMU at this time.
  8. Does this Tournament actually start on Monday? I am hearing that the Powell/ Maryville game is a first day game but is set for Tuesday instead of Monday? anybody kow for sure? I know the Knoxville News Sentinel has the first day as Monday , but I have heard different?
  9. Sevier County is very nice as well
  10. so SD ,William Blount, Maryville did any better, honestly, other than Farragut its looks really even between the disticts
  11. well i can tell you that Halls has made its statement, Powell beat Maryville , SD West and William Blount... Karns can also play with any of them... looks like 3AAA can compete to me!
  12. but I am a crip... have good night buddy
  13. I have had an injury with my fingers or I would have been an all state typist... I know you understand
  14. actually i can spell fine, just cant type... but glad you pointed that out for me ... thanks
  15. I can actually understand that, after the game we had with Karns in the district trourney and the aftergame activities I completely understand.... by the way.. Im not a Halls fan .. but very glad to see our dirtrict compete after all the talk that has been on here about how much better all of 4aaa is, I would totally agree that Farragut is the best team in the state, I know several players for the Admirals and have great respect... but past Farragut, nobody in 4AAA is better than the top 3 in 3AAA
  16. yes Im at home.. right her in my little cardboard box in north knoxville
  17. Actually it matters alot.. any good coach sets him team up for games that matter... but then if your a school with 3000 versus a school with 1200 I guess you wouldnt understand... but then again Maryville did it..... guess anything can happen!!!
  18. one for two gets you broke in Vegas.... but knowing that this is not a must win for either team and knowing that Halls is going to pitch Spencer I would say the odds are in your favor... enjoy !!!
  19. Maybe we should just let the Farragut starters play the Farragut bench for the # 1 spot since all the Farragut backups would be stars at any other school... what a joke!
  20. well we all know Halls had no chance against SD and no chance in the next 2 games... going from the predictions of gameday and atllbraves its already over for the devils... but I think they also picked SD to beat Halls... maybe a good omen for the devils... good luck Halls
  21. I had a Braves scout tell me personally that he would not be in the top 5 rounds for them, I know thats just one team but who knows? He said that his bat was a major concern and his speed was secondary too. Just goes to show how tightly pro scouts grade players.
  22. congrats to a Halls team that many said had no chance... guess it was baseball tonight... good luck Halls and Farragut
  23. well Atlbraves... I hope you get all the water to the guys that really play.. with a great buncjh of players on your team you have obviously not learned how to win... thats doesnt bode well for the future of Farragut baseball... Im sure coach Pharr would be disapointed in you, but maybe you have time to mature... good luck to Farragut and halls in the next games
  24. No nothing wrong with the pine, just learn that if you go out there and make statements or predictions you may have to eat them... how does the crow from Halls taste....maybe you will get your chance in the future... good luck to the Admirals, I know many players and parents from Farragut and respect them..,. keep up the tradition!
