You can usually count on good outings from Cummings and Plumlee, the question is can anybody else step into the 3 and 4 spots in the rotation and be effective. So far that has been a hit and miss proposition.

I am not sure that the Powell -Faragut game will be a measuring stick. Since its not a distict game.I think it will be an exibition at best

I am not sure at this point who is ready to challenge who? So many teams that are very compareable in talent. I am just very suprised at how many runs have been scored so far.It is really going to come down to how head coaches handle their teams.I think its going to be interesting!!!!!!

Powell went to Fountain city tonight and beat Central 10-0 .Dustin Plumlee pitched a complete game shutout for the panthers allowing 3 hits and recording 11 strikeouts.Wes Whaley went Yard for the Panthers.Hickum went the distance pitching for Central. It was good bacl to back wins for the Panthers after beating West last night and a disappointing District start for the Bobcats.

I have saw both Bearden and Jeff Co. play this year. I really think Bearden is a much stronger team top to bottom. It looks like pitching depth may be a problem for Jeff Co.

It sure looks like that Knoxville area baseball is wide open and will be a pleasure to watch this season.With so many teams as equal as it seems, the coaches are going to have to earn their keep this year. Nothing like good baseball and It looks like we are going to be blessed with an super year as fans, no matter which team you call your own.

Farragut is so much much worse and lacking so much talent. I imagine they may go down the tubes this year and lose 2 or three games.(Haha) Jealousy will get you nowhwere. Give them credit where its due, they have a great program and exceptional high school talent.

It looks like football is his best game anyway. In baseball, he seems to loose his cool just when his team needs him most, discipline is not his strong point.As for football, I guess it never hurts to be dating a Fulmer daughter.

Powell only lost 2 position player and one pitcher which were starters to graduation last year as i recall
