  1. yeah -- i see this happen quite a bit at one particular school. The coach expects the players to be "perfect" all the time. He'll put bench players in and expects them not to make any mistakes -- and if they do he pulls them out of the game almost immediately in disgust. Many times the bench players don't stand a chance.
  2. What happened to JB from Temple, last night? I was waiting for his big dunk.
  3. I agree 100%. That's the real Caleb Skogen!! thumb
  4. Temple rolled over Grace but not without some struggles. Caleb Skogen was unstoppable from the start and Seth Skogen had a very good game with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Coach Dan Wadley called the scoring of the Skogen brothers "phenomenal'' after the #1 team in 1A beat rival Grace Academy, 74-57, Tuesday night. Playing in Grace's gym before a hostile packed house. Sean Wadley played great defense on Grace's leading scorer -- Davis Eldridge -- holding him to only 14 points. "Sean was awesome tonight,'' Caleb Skogen said. "Eldridge didn't get past him one time all night. The only shots he made all night were over him.'' Zach Mouw added seven points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Temple. Caleb Skogen had 30 points (2 threes) to lead the Crusaders to their 22nd win of the season. The Crusaders are now 22-1.
  5. Regardless of accomodating the fans -- i don't think it was too bright either to put bleachers that close under the basket. Maybe it would have been all right to put them out to the sides further -- but not right under the basket. And as far as the score -- Temple just showed in the end why they're the #1 team in the state. But I commend the Grace players on a good effort.
  6. It kind of sounds like a bogus BCS system or something. We all know that Temple is the better team -- so it just goes to show you that the system is not accurate, but then again it's just a strength and success rating.
  7. There is no doubt that Temple is the best team in 1A.
  8. Let's see -- not shooting the three well? I believe he had like 4 last night. Anyone that says Caleb isn't the #1 pick for MB doesn't really have a clue. His numbers and the teams success speaks for itself.
  9. I can't believe you missed the game tonight man. Where were you? I wondered where you were?
  10. I've not seen Webb play -- but I wouldn't count Caleb out of the race for Mr. Basketball. He has some good numbers also: 20.9 ppg 5.5 apg 2.7 spg No -- he's not a 6-8 center, but he's no doubt a great guard that has hops second to none. And no he's not going to an SEC school but I'm sure he could, but has decided to play at Mercer University with his older brother Jake (last years Mr. Basketball).
  11. Yeah Sikit!! Once Baxter gets up in the air against Pickett he'll say, ‘Well, maybe I’ll just hang up here in the air for a while, just sit back.’ Then all of a sudden, he'll say, ‘Well, maybe I’ll 360. No I changed my mind. I’ll go up on the other side.’ He’s just incredible. I can't wait.
  12. One of my favorite JB quotes is: “What excites me the most is when the coach calls a timeout and chews out his forward because I just dunked on his head.” Baxter, you've got to throw one down on the Bobcats so we can read this quote in the paper on Saturday morning.
