  1. The kid that refused to shake Shiverdecker's hand while he said that we did not have a chance was #74 Mark Fisher....OG and DT/DE....he was rude and disrespectful and showed 0 class and the players there laughed at the alcoa kids
  2. black messiah...u have no respect man...it is the fans of both teams that make the schools look bad usually because after a hard fought loss....i ( an Alcoa starter on both sides of the ball) went to the maryville players team huddle and told each player how weel they played and that i wish them luck on the season, and they did the same...both teams played with class and respect each other...but the fans are usually the vulgar and classless and unsportsman like of the schools...the game is over so leave it at that...the coon was a racist thing whether u intended it to be or not...it was so drop it....holler at ur boy and give respect man
  3. IDK anything about the Karns football program, but i had the oppurtunity to participate in the UT program with one of the Defensive Ends from their Program. I think his name was Micah something. He gave me a hard time sayin i stunk and erything and i gave him a hard time bout the Karns program, but in all truth he is a great athlete and i expect to sdee him in college somewhere.
  4. Ok....the Maryville vs. Alcoa rivalry is always a battle. The rebels have the most wins out of the 70 somethin times that these two teams have met. Alcoa has a tough team this year and a lot of added depth thanks to Coach Reid's weight program. I think the game deserves a name and a trophy. We could call it like "The Civil War" or something of that nature. I see Alcoa coming out on top this year because of the added depth and overall average strength of the team. Maryville is lacking experience at the lead position of QB, but both that are working for the job have good talent and are great football players. I do not want to seem to judgemental during spring, but i think Alcoa will be better prepared for this game and will come out on top.
  5. I believe that the best coaching in the 04 season has been George Quarrels (sorry if i spelled that wrong) from Maryville and John Reid from Alcoa. They have good staffs as well to help them along. They take their kids one game at a time and no matter the opponent, they get their teams ready and prepare them like they are going to play the State Championship every game!!!!!!!! Go Rebels, Tornadoes, and Falcons!!!!! Bring the Gold Balls back to the east and especially Blount County Maryville and Alcoa!!!!!
  6. I wanna hear some opinions on next Friday's state championship in which Alcoa Tornadoes, coming off of our HUGE victory over David Lipscomb tonight, will play the Huntingdon Mustangs, the defending 2a State Champs. I see Alcoa coming out on top because we have spent way too many hours to let it go now. Alcoa will come out ready and i believe with all my heart that Alcoa can bring one home this year. I do not have a score prediction at this point, but if you have one feel free to post it. Keep this post clean! No trash talkin like the Alcoa at Lipscomb thread please. Go Alcoa!!!! Bring this one home to the East Baby!
  7. Alcoa vs. David Lipscomb, rematch from last year's semi-final game in which Alcoa was embarrassed 55-6 on Goddard Field. Alcoa still has that awful memory in their head and dont think that they are not looking for revenge. Alcoa will come out fired up and i see them shutting down Austin Rogers pretty quick. I see Alcoa winning this one in a very close, hard-fought game. Go Alcoa!!!
  8. Where are all the rockwood fans now. I guess they have finally realized that their team just doesn't stack up with someone the caliber of Alcoa. This one was over as soon as Alcoa scored their first touchdown. Rockwood may be a good team but the third round is about as far as they will ever get as long as Coach Reid is at the helm of this Alcoa program. Look on the bright side though. Basketball season is starting but you're probably even worse at that. Look forward to seeing the domination alcoa puts on ya'll next year. I'm glad they finally get to play a good team so the game will be more interesting because i am tired of seeing blowouts.
  9. TDent i agree. Rockwood did come out and turn the ball over but for their coach to say it was a fluke in the paper? Whats up with that? Rockwood turned the ball over early but that is because the Strong Alcoa D stepped up and stuffed every chance they had. They knew they were beat from the beginning and us Alcoa people cannot do anything about it. We beat them 35-0 that is not what i call a fluke. And about the West having their time now.....noone was talkin about 5A buddy we are in a post about two 2a football teams so stop bringing up Germantown. Alcoa will beat Rockwood and none of the west 2a teams can beat the east teams. The east is to smashmouth for the west. The west will get ran over by any team in the east. Go Alcoa...Play Your Hearts Out and Play Every Down Like It is your Last.
  10. Alcoa hopes that Rockwood is fully ready for this game so they bring yp no excuses. Alcoa does not look past anyone, they take every game serious and play it like it is the State Championship already. We work hard and it shows on the field. You Rockwood people talk way more trash than us Alcoa people do. We state facts not trash. Rockwood has a decent team but Alcoa is too much of an All-Around Balanced Team for Rockwood!
  11. You people on here talk a lot of trash. Alcoa and Rockwood both have good teams but Alcoa has an all-around O with Lindsey and Love to run the ball and Lanxter, Green, Bell, Warren, Sommers to cath the ball. Rockwood as Pendergrass and Harvest. If Rockwood's running game gets shut down it is game over for them no matter who the opponent is. I think we (the Tornadoes) will come ready because we want another shot at DL for the defeat they put on us in the 2003 season OR Goodpasture for the final second punt block that led to a game winning TD against the Alcoa team it 2001. I think we are ready. Go Alcoa!!
  12. Alcoa has a very strong team and Rockwood is not garbage but they are not the best. They play teams like Bledsoe County while Alcoa plays teams like Maryville. I do not see Rockwood winning this one. I am tired of listening to all of you people on here trash talking when i would guess that not even half of you play. I am guessing that Alcoa will win by a quite large margin. Alcoa-35 Rockwood-7 Come to Play Alcoa and it will get ugly fast!!!!!!!
  13. The east is more smashmouth right at you kind of football. The middle and west are more run aroudn the edge and hit the sidelines and get up field. The east is way tougher this year with teams like Alcoa, Tyner, Oak Ridge, Maryville, Dobyns Bennet, Austin East, Fulton, and a bunch of others. I would love to see Alcoa and Maryville bring home another title this year and i think AE or Fulton, and DB or OR can bring them home too. The east is really tough this year.
  14. I have not read all the little opinions people have on here, but i think Al Davis Jr. and Kory Conner, both from Alcoa, are two of the best running backs in the states history!
  15. unfortunately, i cannot bring a flag and be in the pit because i will either be on the sidelines or hopefull gettin a lil PT. I hope i will, but as long as we can destroy them rebels i am good. GO ALCOA!
  16. Alcoa has the talent to win state this year. Season is a while away but it is inching up on us and so is this rivalry. I say, eventhough Alcoa lost Bart Hicks, they be better than ever with the sophomore class from this year being juniors in the upcoming season. Alcoa will have a struggle with Maryville because Maryville is always a power house but Alcoa will definately pull this one off so dont be surprised when it happens rebel fans!!!!!!!!! Go Alcoa.
  17. AHSBASEBALL, wait a second, MARSHPITFAITHFUL, it's great to have you back. I miss the Tony Cooper Bashing. Can't wait till we get to lay the law down against good ol MHS. This is our year...The Marsh Pit will be out in Full Force down at Goddard baby!
  18. Southside just got it handed to them!!!!!!
  19. I agree with the last post, if u make, then you deserve to be there. I overheard some College scouts talking during the Alcoa games and they said themselves that Alcoa was getting shafted. With good officiating i think Alcoa would be playing tomorrow. I Dont Care what anyone says, if the fouls are 10-2 like it was in the McMinn County game last night and we still won i think sumthin is wrong. Alcoa got shafted in last nights game and tonight against JSS, but i aint worried i no Bolivar gonna have to take it easy on JSS so they dont beat them by 45. Alcoa 4-Life but Go Bolivar tomorrow!!!!
  20. As a show of your intelligence level.....maybe you need to do your homework first before you start saying some stupid rambling **** about how smart we are..... I guess we know who feels like a dumbass now... :justwrestle:
  21. Bolivar should beat the brakes off of Southside......If Alcoa wouldn't have gotten shafted(even college coaches who were sittin beside someone i no said it) we would have made the Southside game closer......Bolivar will win by 15+.
  22. Yeah, Alcoa was down the entire game, but they just wanted it more than McMinn and i think they want it more than JSS, especially our seniors. Thank You East TN for support our boys in the tournament and even though i am just a Marsh Pit Maniac, i hope we can bring it back for us.
  23. I think my boys from Alcoa will come out and play a tough game, and i think that they will win by less than 10. JSS may be good but have u seen Alcoa play this year. We are a senior lead team with 4 seniors and 1 sophomore starting and if they all show up to play like they did in the fourth quarter last night and if they really want it, like they do, i think they will play harder than any team in the tournament this year.
