Yes, it's called competition. If the freshman are better, then why do they have to sit the bench? Best players should play. Seniority shouldn't matter.

I heard that at least one announcement should happen this week. One very good applicant accepted a girls head coaching position in another county. buledievlpdrie- girls team should be pretty good. Boys team recently lost a very good player. His family is moving out of state. 2minutedrill- "literally nothing" is exactly correct- all sports (including summer camps, uniforms, etc.) are paid for by parents (team fees) or fund-raising. upandcomer- In both cases, not a good situation. People interviewing don't make final decision, just recommendations. Pretty sure the School's Director makes the final choice and he doesn't always go by the recommendations.

Pulling for Macon County

Anyone else surprised at the lopsided games so far? AAA- 26,19,46,5. A- 20,17,17,16. AA- TBD Is this what everyone expected?

Seems that the new director is not fond of master's level teachers that also coach. Worsley not only coached boys basketball but was also an excellent volleyball coach. Aside from that, he's a good person. It's a mess a SHS. No girls head or asst bb coach (head coach resigned/asst is a volunteer coach). No boys head or asst bb coach (neither coach was tenured). No athletic director. They say the hiring freeze prohibits jobs from being posted. There is a chance that he gets to come back, but with the new director and school board, there's no telling what will happen.

Whites Creek, Maplewood, & East Lit... pretty good run to the Region Championship. Congrats Boys!!! You proved you were the best team. Let's get this next one and go to Murfreesboro!!!!

REALLY? Do they not teach you the meaning of SARCASM in Sumner County?? I'll type slowly so you can understand it... when I typed the stuff about the mercy rule and cancelling the games, it's not that they should literally cancel the game or run the clocks the whole game. It means that 10AA should quit talking because Sycamore and White House are pretty good. Don't overlook them. Get it? Or do I need to draw you pictures? Good Grief Man. Go take a nap or something Taylor.

I guess it's the offseason for their fans too! Sycamore (and East Lit) played great last night. It was fun to watch. All we've heard is Sycamore can't beat so and so; Sycamore is going to get blown out by so and so. Guess what? So and So are at home now watching!!

East Lit and Sycamore lead entire game and both get double digits wins over CPA & Maplewood. Have to be honest, didn't see this happening. Great crowds! Should be fun for the finals.

I'm starting to get on the Macon bandwagon. They beat a very good CPA team last night. I would expect them to be very competitive in the Region finals as well as the next round (Waverly-Lewis Co). They may need to start looking for hotel rooms in M'boro.

Will the upsets continue over at Vol State??? Both number 1's beat on Monday. Get some rest.... it's almost go time!

Lipscomb was phenomonal tonight. They were really quick as well. Congrats to them! Macon-CPA was really good ball game with Macon getting the win by two. Looks like these two winners will play either Waverly or Lewis Co. Good Luck to Reg 5AA!! Get to the 'Boro!!!
