  1. There is a violation at Alcoa and the same is going on at Tn. High.
  2. Smith of Elizabethton although most of his season was lost with a broken thumb which occured during play. Prospect
  3. Looking for information on U15 & U14 Upper East Tennessee baseball teams. Names of teams, coaches and top players. All used for scouting purposes during the summer tournaments. This is the age when we start tracking. Morristown and East please. Thanks
  4. MR. CreekerCalhoun, After the weekend play you should now understand the difference I was talking about. Caldwell shuts down Unicoi and Blevins gets blasted by "lowly" Elizabethton. Blevins is a good "A" pitcher and will improve accordingly. He is a hard worker, but for now, he is what he is. A good class "A" pitcher. If he saw tougher competition day in and day out it would be better for him.
  5. Without a doubt, the best in Carter County is Todd Caldwell of Happy Valley. Behind him is Tee Blevins of Unaka. Caldwell is pitching like a good senior pitcher and Blevins throws like a top quality sohhmore, which he is. The best I have seen in upper East TN. is Brandon Shoun of Science Hill.
  6. Anyone know what happened to the Smith kid at Elizabethton? A talent that is lost somewhere?
  7. Broyles threw a fantastic game. HV's errors up the middle hurt bad. Unicoi overcame their errors. There are several good players to watch on both teams. Next installment of these two competing coming soon at a field near you!
  8. If Unicoi's Broyles is available it could be a long night for the Warriors. Also, Unicoi's defense will have to play clean, error wise, which has been their failure so far this year. Happy Valley should be hot coming off of a tourny victory in Ky. Good game coming!
  9. Butch, you better get to studying instead of posting on here. But, no doubt, when Randy's mind and body are right, he's the best in Carter County. If you know Randy you know he has his hands full, and him taking care of himself is a handful in itself.
  10. The truth is, Randy is a better pitcher than Tee, but Tee is smarter and will be better than Randy in a year or so. The best 1-2-3 punch is at HV, as far as Carter Co. is concerned. McInturf is a descent fill in pitcher as is Lewis and Bowers. Mac is not a true pitcher nor is Lewis or Bowers at Unaka. I'm sorry creeker, but I respect your opinion..... a little. Unaka and all of the other teams will improve as the season moves on. Randy must become dedicated and let a little bit of the air out of his head or he will be a flop this season. Tee will continue to get better and he is a good kid. Overall, Unaka has a fine "A" team and they will beat some bigger schools, but they are just kids. Congradulations to them for repping their county well in basketball, but now it is baseball reality time.
  11. McClay is the head and he is being lead.
  12. Cademon, You seem to be right on at this point in the season. It is coming upon mid season and I'm sure there will be some upsets somewhere. HV is the team to beat in Carter Co. and Unaka still has to prove that it is better than E'town. Hampton takes Cloudland, but the bottom line is, on any given day, either team can beat the other. Good county baseball, but we'll have to get creeker's opionion! hehehe
  13. Keep it up Creeker. Everyone gets a "hoot" out of you on here. Even your own.
  14. Sounds like some good ole in county rivalries. It is fun to read some of the comments on Coach T and then you have a few who are totally out of line. Sounds like one is very jealous of A. Grindstaff who is a soph, I believe. I have been told he is from the Unaka area so maybe that is the problem with this guy. Anyway, I'll be catching a few of the games and I bet alot of these young men are good freinds and then compete very hard against each other on the field.
  15. Trully like the Smith kid in Elizabethton so far. Good attitude, good student and a true competitor. Plays the second base position like a quality senior and hits singles as well as the long ball. Sprays the ball alll over the field. Question is whether his heart is with baseball or football?
  16. Thanks for the invite. I'll be there soon. No insult intended as I deleted my posts on here. My intent is to deal with kids first and then to check out parents for compatibility. Definately not visa versa. Looking for talent first. Again, thanks.
  17. Is there a new coach at Elizabethton? Is McClay now the assistant?
