I've said it before and I will say it again, Defense wins championships. With SC's D it will be tough to do anything. Their D is the toughest I have seen in a long time. I am a MC fan and I know that our D was good last year, but SC D this year is as good if not better than ours was. Trust me I have seen SC play a bunch this year and they always come ready to play, their coach does a good job. Good luck Owls and show them that speed isn't everything!!!! I hope you go all the way to the Boro and take it home. I have faith in you guys!! SC 14 Fulton 13...... Also I wish that everyone would stop calling SC small and slow because they are not. Quit putting them down so much, look how far they have made it.. GO OWLS thumb

We (Macon) are down again this year, but we are rebuilding. We have a new coach up here and I think he is a real good guy. I have spoken to him several times and I think he will be a great coach. He knows what we got and what we dont have. He wont try to play out of our ability. I have been to a couple of the scrimmages and we are looking much better. It will be a rough season, probably, but you can believe that these boys will give all they got. GO TIGERS, thank god basketball is back.

My heart is behind you guys in Smith County... Since Macon is out of it this year I am definetely pulling for you guys. I have been betting on you guys all season. I was at the game last friday and of course it was another great game. I am sad to see this region go. Well anyway I have seen SC play probably 3 or 4 times this year and they are for real!! Don't let these people tell you that you all aren't fast enough or anything like that. With that D you all can play with anyone in the state. My prediction is SC 14 Fulton 13. This will be a REAL good game and I cant wait to see it. Go Smith County, you boys have heart and keep on winning. thumb

From a neutral fan, I saw these two teams play earlier this year and it was a great game. I do feel that Smith Co will come out on top for the second time this season though. My pick SC 19 - LA 13. I will be there again and I just hope to see a great game!!!!! thumb

I am rooting for my RBS boys to have a big season. With Meador and Heady back this year they should have a good shot at state this year!!! All I know is that they are going to be a contender!!!

Prock wasn't coaching the team and I am talking about the group that will be seniors next year. The juniors from this year.

Really guys to tell you the truth I dont care about this stuff. I do think that he should have been fired, there is nothing that you can tell me about his integrity or anything that will change that. I just wanted to put my opinion on here and everyone jumps me about my it. Whatever though numbers dont lie and 1 win is deserves to get fired in my book. Like I said earlier I wish him the best of luck. This is nothing personal against him, this is like they say "business". The best thing for both sides is for him to leave or get fired or whatever. If what you say is true about everyone saying how "great" of a job he is doing then he will have no problem finding a job.

I know for a fact that this junior class was pretty good in Jr. High. They didnt win thier district probobaly because RBS.

Come on man we aren't in the 5th grade anymore. Wins are what put people in the seats and that brings money. Yea it is great that he is teaching them about life and all that but he also needs to teach a little about basketball it looks like. Actually I am not the only one who cares about wins and losses, apparently MC does too because attendance wasn't quite what it is used to being. And you can say this each player is a winner crap... but like I said we aren't all in the 5th grade anymore. I know when I compete at anything I want to win that is what a true competor does.

HAHA not struggleing at all. I dont believe I have called anyone a name. All I said is that it is sad that you know what happened in 1992. I havent said anything about cothren. Surely you and cothren are reasonable people. Surely you can see how stupid this all is. I mean the guy won 1 game and he got fired. I am sure that he would be gone anywhere. No team in the state would tolerate a season like this, maybe if it was his first season but fourth, come on. Listen to reason, the guy was never going to win at MCHS, bottom line. People are making a big deal of it because Prock did this. Nobody likes him, I am not going to get on here and say that he is great or that he is bad, but anyone can see that Brown was going nowhere. He gave him the opertunity to step down and Brown wouldn't do it. Brown deserves to go. Ask anyone who isn't bias by knowing the guy personally. Your argument is not valid at all. The guy won one game. Bottom Line.

Oh and by the way, I wouldn't call scoring 4 points or whatever in the first half competeing too much.

Come on guys. You are defending a guy with one win during an entire season. I dont care if every game was close, wins are what matters. And kcothren you are too bad mouthing this years team. You cant just come up and say you stink, but no offense. Are you really comparing MCHS talent with Hermitage Springs talent, that is a joke. We have much much more talent than that team and they won 2. Again I want to say you can be competitive without winning. And winning is what counts. In my opinion if you are competitive in every game and still don't win that is bad coaching. Probobaly run them off. And I am sorry that you are still reliving your hs days with all the what ifs or whatever. MCHS has really never had anyone over more than 6'3 or so to have played a lot in the past. So you dont need a big 7 footer, not everyone has that. 1 win, enough said.

Oh I forgot to add the dumbest comment that I have ever seen. You are talking about 14 years ago buddy. It is REALLY Sad that you know that. Maybe you should stick to tennis.

No it is not a fact that this group didn't have talent. Go ask any of the players if they think that they stink and I bet they will say NO. So that is not a fact. And so what you are saying is that they should have only won 1 game? That is crazy. Maybe you should just stop getting mad because I have a different view from you.

That doesn't really matter. You don't have to get mad, I am just telling it like it is. The thing is I am sure that you know Brown on a personal level and really like him. That is why you are saying all this. No rational person could sit there and say that a coach after having a team for 4 years and only winning 1 game the fourth year is worth keeping on. Just think about it.
