Mcminn County, Baylor on Friday and a double dip with Cleveland and Heritage on Saturday spells more trouble for the rebels. Hope I'm wrong, but not lately.
i guesst this is point counter point. Chad has been good for the rebels on the mound. However he could not close the deal with a six run lead at Halls on saturday night. Berrong and Thompson have been there best pitchers to date. Clement has had some rough starts. Gaylor has now had strong back to back starts VS. Lenior City and Halls. 2 earned runs vs Halls on 5 hits. They have been unable to close the deal for him however. The overall problem is in their hitting or lack there of. Big test this week. SD today and Farragut on Wed.
Seymour wins both games and run rules them in one of the two. Seymour can hit anybody, I've seen them play three times and Alcoa Twice. Alcoa Myers may be able to keep it from getting out of hand but the winner will be Seymour hands down. Bet hitting team I've seen this year even ahead of Farragut. Not seen Halls yet.
Maryville scored 10 runs in the first two innings. Clement pitched okey for Maryville but not his best. Maryville had 15 hits in the game. They had only 37 in the first 6. Clement did K the side in the 5th to end the game. WB and Bearden on Friday Maryville and Bearden on Monday, both should be good games.
Maryville travels to William Blount tonight for a big county and district game. JAke Snyder goes for William Blount. Last time out threw 2 hitter againest Houston. Maryville counters with Andrew Clement, last time out as starter lost to Farragut. what do you think?
Maryville won 7-5 on bases clearing 2b in the bottom of the 6th. Blair had no-no going into the 5th then hit the 2 batters in a row then a walk to load the bases. Clement brought in cold gave up two 2b and runs. Bowers was the pitcher for Heritage and was in for one inning to many.
Seymour simply hit the ball hard and deep. They swing the bats well from top to bottom. Maryville needs to find so hitting some where. six hit tonight six againest Farragut on Monday, not very good. Seyomur turned two double plays to end the 1st and 2nd innings. Not knocking Seymour but two of the HR's woul be fly outs at most parks. Koenman's were shots. Folks, take the time to see this young man.only a soph. He is the real deal. As good as anybody around and I've seen lot.
He should be a senior anyway. He turns 18 next month or May and was held back before High school. As far as being D-1 material. He is a smooth switch hitting shortstop who can hit for average and is fast on the bases.
Had a ring side seat for this one and from July04 to today Rod has made a big step forward. He's picked up some speed and has a lot of late movement on his fastball and a wicked slider. 5th inning wa the down fall for Maryville. error, walk then 3b by Tony, "k" on Cody then BAck to Back 2b by Esken and Steban. sorry for the spelling of names. rod threw 105 pitches and at times looked un-hitable. 18K 1bb and six hits. Rebels have to hit better overall or there in trouble.
