I personally think Morristown East has a nice gym,only thing that makes the atmosphere bad is that it is never filled. I can't remember the last time East had at least 500 people on the home side. Terrible backing by this community. Morristown maybe the worst town in East Tennessee for following their high schools. heck,relatives don't even show up to watch their kin folks.

The same refs allowed a west player to totally wrap up a east player(boys game) at the end of regulation.The same ref (Lon Thornton) called a holding foul not a intentional, even tho both fouls had the same intent. He should be banned from doing any games at East. Not sour grapes because we did blow a lead(coaching helped) , but Thornton has always been partial to the trojans.

Are there any worse refs than what is in the IMAC? Decided outcome of 2 games last night with late calls.

If you are confused in why every time Morristown East plays a home game we have less fans than the opposition ,let me give you my thoughts.. I know the current administration hase run off our student section. Our kids are not allowed to be kids in support of our teams. Our principals stand in front of them to monitor their every move or sound. Even at East-West games our kids are left without defense by this staff. I have even been a witness to the puppet master(superintendent of schools) tell the principal(his puppet) to hush our kids while others across town send their chants our way. Seems like someone does not want our kids to be heard. It is not a surprise to anyone that follows East High why we had this fiasco with our cheerleaders. I know that at our last home game we had about 20 kids there cheering for our basketball teams. Cosby had 3 times that many. The adults following Cosby was astounding, we ain't had that many total all season. I didn't think much of the 50 yr old man trash-talking our few kids,but he did show team spirit we never see. Until the strings are cut and our administration lets our kids be kids than our we would be better off playing our home games at a neighboring elementary school to save cost in heating. What does it hurt for them to take their shirts off and spell C-A-N-E-S on their chest. Someone needs to wake up and notice. By the way,we had the worst crowd support in years at football games as well. Sorry for the length but i need to get this off my chest.

i say that omar wattad is one of the best an the reason i knwo i played against him hes an all around player and he dont force shots he plays as a team.

sounds to me like Duncan recruited him another good team murner and boone and now higgins what else you want. Its obvious he recruits.

Tyler Collins and Nick Green of Morristown-East pretty darn good, both gave good innings on the mound as well in the field..Collins beat Jeff County in district tournament with 7 good innings on the mound. Also from Morristown-West is Logan Wild

I have no idea what final stats were and it is a policy for some reason that our coaches do not post in the papers if they do not have a reporter there. Coach Decker is the A.D. Stats are kept by coaches and some parents keep their own books for their personal knowledge. I think they do this to stress the importance of team play and not the glorification of individuals.Just My Opinion

I heard from a parent of the Canes that Coach A only nominated the 3 kids that made all district and no one else. I thought there were at least 4 others worthy of at least being voted on,but that is just my opinion.

Congratualations are in order for the "Canes tournament run, a grand effort put forward by these kids. A pretty darn good job considering there was only 3 players that made the all-conference teams( 2 on 1st team-1 on 2nd team). But that is another story within itself. Good luck to the 2 region representatives.

Congrats to Depew, a deserving choice IMO.. I wish everyone knew the true Altizer then they wouldn't sing his praises.. He would of been more suited for being the Chess team coach, they don't require practice..He had the team playing on their heels with his way of jerking them out of games when an error was made,and he never tried to strengthen the bench by playing subs during out of conference games..he is a joke ,the kids advanced this far despite him, with last years coaches the team would of had a far superior record than now. He was fired from coaching years ago,and shouldn't been given the job now..His ego needs no fuel

man you can tell you go to west bc thats all you must realize is that you finally got a win wat was your record last year an wat is it this year man open your eyes an see the real world i mean you all got some talent as in guthrie,ewing,and smith. they can play but you got to have more than those three to win but i give west credit they've came along way wit those three carrying them but you got to have a complete team to win it an morristown east does.
