  1. Maryville won 58-48, but I haven't heard anything about the stats from the game.
  2. I was just wondering why GoMab and some of you others aren't even considering Lee Humphrey as a finalist. He averaged 12 ppg. his freshman year. 24 ppg. as a soph. 22 ppg. 6 boards, 5 assists per last year. This year the kid has absolutely dominated the competition. He has his biggest games in big game situations.Like against Bearden when they had Cruze, and at the Dawg house and Lee had a slow first half, but exploded in the fourth quarter like he dif last year with 16 4th quarter points. Finished with 31 pts. and 7 threes. 4 assists and 4 steals. Then when they played again at Maryville had a slow first half but exploded in crunch time in the 4th when he scored like 13 and finished the game with 27 pts. Not to mention the Arby's Classic where in the first two games, both wins over Science Hill and Dobbyns Bennett behind 50 pts from Lee on 10 for 13 from 3 land. He is avearaging 21 ppg 5 assists and 4 steals and ifee were in the lineup those two othergames I know that Maryville would have won one. The Rebels are 28-1 with Lee playing. He averages those numbers above 21 ppg. while leading a whole lineup that averages over 10- ppg. Anyways, he deserves to be nominated.
  3. Lee Humphrey of Maryville has been dominant in AAA for the last 3 years. He has averaged over 20 pts. per game his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He is averaging about 23 or 24 pts. a game, 4 boards, 4 assists, and 3 steals per game. Has led his team to an AP #4 ranking, with Lee in the lineup they are 28-1. Now, I am not taking anything away from the Williams kid because he sounds like he is a heck of a player, but Lee has put up similar numbers through his career and is gonna be playing for a much better college basketball program in the Florida Gators and GoMab has him ranked #1 in the senior class. Rivals also has Lee ranked as the #8 SG and #43 overall in the nation in his class. Now with all this said, what does the rest of the board think about these players and who is gonna win Mr. Basketball?
  4. I saw on the other post about Mr. Basketball that a lot of people are picking the Williams kid from Colombia. Just wanted to hear some of his stats and some info as to why he is being picked by most people, and where is Colombia H.S. at ? Also, where is this kid gonna be playing ball next year, and he is not going to win Mr. Basketball, who else has a shot ? [Edited by Rebels01 on 2-18-03 11:31P]
  5. Was wondering if anyone had any stats from the game tonight, I saw that Maryville won 92-57 to finish the year 28-3. Just trying to figure out who played well. Thanks for any info.

Two questions for you. 1. On your list of the top 100 jrs. you have Tyler Gaskins ranked 53. Question is, do you see him moving up in your rankings after the season ? He has helped take some of the pressure off of Lee and has played very well, what do you think ? 2. What all did you take into consideration when ranking Lee #1 on your senior list ? Obviously he is a great player, but i'm sure there is more to your rankings. Thanks for all the hard work
  7. Alright folks, a lot of you wanna get on here and hate on Maryville and say that they are not good, but here are the facts. With Lee Humphrey in the lineup, they are 25-1. Without him they are 0-2. Also, since getting Tyler Gaskin from football, they have not lost a game. Yes they have had a bad run the last few years in postseason, but don't get on here and say they are overrated, cause they aren't. Look at the facts.
  8. Just like I said, Maryville won by 10 and Lee dropped about thirty. I think Maryville is gonna make a run at state, they are playing great ball right now.
  9. Maryville will win and watch for Lee Humphrey, Tyler Gaskins, and Andy Tipton from Maryville. And Michael Blue and Kyle Cruze from Bearden. Maryville is just too strong for the Dogs. Maryville by atleast 10 and Lee pours in atleast 25. He had 31 and 7 threes last time these two met at Bearden.
  10. Does anyone know any stats from this game that Maryville won 111-64 ?
  11. Even with that collission he still poured in 24 pts, but just an average night for the franchise.
  12. I think that anyone who has seen Lee Humphrey play this year would have to agree with his #1 rankins, but I do not know anything about the rest of the players. I know that Swayder was ranked #1 after the summer, what kind of year is he having ?
  13. I would say yes because that was the first game he played after losing 10 pounds in 5 hours in the hospital at the Arby's classic, he is shooting 48% from 3 point land this year and 55% overall from the floor. He is also averaging 23 ppg. and 3 assists, 3 steals, and 4 boards. You just caught him on a bad night when he was recovering.
  14. Everybody has an off night and Lee had his the other night, I will guarantee right here and now if these two teams meet again, it will be atleast a 15 point win for Maryville and Lee wil have atleast 25. Maryville just didn't play a good game in any aspect the other night, but come tourney time, this year I think this team is gonna make a run.
  15. I guess we will just have to see how things pan out, but with a player like Humphrey,if he is hot Maryville can beat anybody. He has been doing it all his career. I remember his Soph. year in the regionals when Maryville was a 4 seed and playing a much favored 1 seed in Oak Ridge, Lee dropped 40 to carry Maryville that game and this years team is MUCH better than that team. I think Maryville is gonna go as far as Lee carries them, but I think you could be right about Cleveland, I saw them play in a Christmas Tournament at Bearden and they were a very talented and well disciplined team. Best of luck to both teams.
  16. I think the only team out of the East that has a shot to knock them off is Maryville. With a starting five that goes 6'3"PG-Lee Humphrey 24.2 ppg. 6'6" SG-Andy Tipton 10.3ppg 6'4" SF- Tyler Gaskins- 11.2ppg. 6'4" PF-Jacob Stout 7.2 ppg 6'5" C- Drew Houser- 11 ppg. That is a big starting line up for High School Basketball, and they have four guys that average in double figures, not to mention probably the best player in the state in Lee Humphrey. The kid can flat out shoot the ball from anywhere inside the time line, and that is not an exaggerating. Even with this said I am not sure anyone is gonna knock off White Station this year because I believe they are too strong of a team, but I think Maryville has the best shot. 17. I wanna know what the board thinks. Do the Rebels have what it takes this year to make a run to the burro and give White Station a game ? I think so because they have had the emergence of other people scoring besides Lee. Tyler Gaskins and Andy Tipton are two other guys avg. more than 10 points a game to compliment Lee's 24 ppg. Anyways, with a starting five that goes 6'3" 6'4" 6'4" 6'5" 6'6" with the 6'6" guy being a wing in Andy Tipton. Their height gives teams problems, what do you all think ?
  18. Maryville looked impressive as usual tonight when they put a 100 spot on the board against sevier county, everybody played well, watch out WB, Maryville by atleast 15 and Lee has a big night as he almost always does in big games. He will never underestimate WB like he did last year again, I call 27 from him Friday Night and they win big.
  19. Lee had 7 threes to help account for his 31 tonight and Tyler Gaskins was all over the glass, I think he had 22 points and 13 Rebounds, but I am not positive on that, anyways, great win tonight for the Rebels over at Bearden, I really believe they have a shot to make it to the burro.
  20. 15-0, 3-straight titles, 4 out of the last 5 years and a #18 south region ranking is all that needs to be said about Maryville.
  21. You are absolutely crazy if you think that Hillsboro is going to hold Maryville to 13 points. Their lowest point total of the season was 28. So if you do win the game, which is going to take Maryville making atleast 3 turnovers, they will still score more than 13 points. With that said . . . . MHS-27 HHS-14
  22. Hey Trojan4ever, quit running your mouth about me telling me to play H.S. football, because I did, and for Maryville, which is a much better school than MoWest, so find something else to say since you don't know what the he!! you are talking about.
  23. Maryville put on another impressive performance in a 28-10 win over MoWest. They were led by Carl Stewart who had 2 td's and Brad Merritt's 2 int. and 7 catches. Towards the end of the game some of the MoWest players were called for unsportsmanlike conduct, i think there were three flags throw on them, this just shows that they are a classless group and couldn't handle defeat in a respectful manner. Anyways, it is on to the Burro for the Rebs for the 5th time in 6 years. This time we are seeking the third straight gold ball, here we come . . . .
  24. I have to be honest here, that was one of the stupidest posts I have ever seen on here. These posts are not put on here by Maryville High School players, but by their fans. You will see just how "overconfident" the TEAM looks when they come out and dominate. O yea, your remark about LAST YEARS game means nothing, yea you guys came down here and beat Maryville on their homecoming, good for you, but we will see what the outcome of this game is shortly . . . .
  25. tick tock tick tock, the clock is ticking down to 7:00, it is only about 4 hours away until the Trojans from MoWest get what is coming to them for talking all this smack. Get there early because the house is gonna be FULL. I am talking about atleast 10,000 people being at this game, so get there early if you wanna seat or a standing room spot where you can actually see the field. Go Rebs. Maryville- 35 MoWest-17
