  1. If I remember right, the guy who held the scoring record at Brentwood went on to play for the New England Revolution... but now, Lowder has that record, right?
  2. Yeah, we learned our lesson in the form of "conditioning."

    MBA or Ryan

MBA passed well, but couldn't maintain control to be effective on the offensive. glazer played a little and did little.while rhoda did not play. Father Ryan controled the midfield and made good use of set plays and they won most of the 50-50 balls. Father Ryan played hard and won the game. Neither MBA or their fans could maintain momentum. Father Ryan is the best in the Region and We'll see everyone at state! Kamenayay-ha!!!!
  4. MBA is all Father Ryan has left before the tournament. We want to go into the playoffs strong and we will play MBA at 7 on Friday Night at MBA. What are the predictions for the game? Lets go Irish...Finish Strong!
  5. Mark Mcwatters is an awesome multi-talented player for Father Ryan High School. In tonights game against David Lipscomb he not only had a few saves, but he also scored a goal! Now tell me thats not a great keeper.
  6. Father Ryan is Playing Lipscomb on Tuesday and MBA on Friday. I've said it before...Father Ryan plays best when we're surrounded. This past weekend we beat a tough Brentwood team, we beat Dobyns Bennett, and we beat Clarksville. All back to back games and a victory for each. We are on a roll and playing good soccer. Let's Do Irish! Let's do it.
  7. Again, we have NO clue who R.O.B. is. We do not in any way endorse him. As far as I know, he doesn't play out there with us. So, he might just be a fanatic who really has a thing for us. Again, I'm not gonna hate 'cuz he is talkin' good about us; but, know that he doesn't necessarily express Father Ryan's views or opinions. Brentwood is far from horrible and they can definitely walk the walk. So, having cleared that up, I am done.
  8. Because if we wore green, it would be so cliché.
  9. Just got home, here is the gist of the game. Final score was 2-1 (in favor of Father Ryan). Good game. Ryan scored very quick off a back side header. Brentwood then had a goal about fifteen minutes later off a dropped ball to the top of the 18. The next goal wasn't scored till about five minutes left in the game. It was off a throw in; a lot of fighting in the six led to the goal. And there you have it. A physical game between two solid teams. It came down to the end. I would say it lived up to its billing.
  10. Oh, it is most surely a final.
  11. Father Ryan 2, Brentwood 1.
  12. Father Ryan will win this game if they play to their potential. They are playing the game with a win earlier this week and with a game to play the next day so they are playing with the usual scenario...surrounded.This just happens to be when they play best, under pressure. Father Ryan has some awesome talent and a strong offense that can score goals quickly. Their defense can keep the ball on the other side of the field with tough and aggressive tactics. Brentwood has a number two powerhouse of the state record for a reason. they are no push-over, but Father Ryan knows that, and isn't expecting a walk in the park. Father Ryan is coming to play. I am sure Brentwood is doing the same. This will be a big game. lets all come out to cheer and watch two great soccer teams play great soccer. Go Irish!
  13. "We played Father Ryan early in the season and were up 2-1 with about 5 min left and they beat us 3-2. They are a decent team and will probably come out #1 in the mid but i still cant believe they beat us. We should have won that game we were just inexperienced and have improved greatky since then. I would like another shot at them." You are blaming your loss on inexperience? Firstly, it was early in the season, so we both weren't [seasoned] veterans. Second, we scored two goals on ya'll in "5 minutes." Does there have to be an excuse? Can it not just be that we played hard and earned two goals even after you guys went to an "all out defense." When I say that, I mean making personel adjustments to your defense, as you guys did. "I am not sure you deserved the win that much. I mean maybe it should have been a draw but besides the last 5 min yall didnt have any shots on goal. Like I said we are young and have improved since then. Maybe we will be able to settle this in state." After we took the lead with only "5 minutes" to go, I dare say that it would be time to play defense. I mean, you guys tried to do the same with fifteen minutes left. So, again, please do not discredit Father Ryan's win. When a team manages to come back from a 0-2 defecit, especially when their opponent is the all-mighty defending state champions, it is a win well deserved. But, yeah -- thanks for calling us a good team (eventually ). Don't mind R.O.B. too much, we still have NO CLUE who he is. I'm not gonna hate on him, though. He is talkin' good about us. And, you guys are also a good team. We know what its like to be a young team too. The season's purpose is to prepare teams for State. Can't wait to see how you guys have progressed~
  14. Yeah, we can score three goals in the first half and mantain the lead. And yeah, we play Brentwood on Friday.
  15. Father Ryan won 3-0 without any trouble. C. Sharp scored the first goal, and P. Caroll scored also, along with midfielder P. Gaffney scoring a third for the Irish. Way to go Father Ryan. The next game is Friday at home and lets keep this momentum up.
  16. Father Ryan is playing USN tommorow night at Ryan in the evening. The Irish need to get back in the swing of things. They play best when they are playing back to back games, under pressure. What does everyone else think about the game?
  17. Well, coming back from a 3-0 defecit is something to be happy about. A tie is better than a loss. Simple as that. Likewise, having three goals scored on you in one half is something to be mad about... we both know how that is~ So please, don't make a silly comparison of emotions at the end of a game. Because as we all know, each team really only played forty minutes of that game. When both decide to play a full eighty, then one will have the right to 'talk the talk.'
  18. why are you cutting down Father Ryan. The point that Father Ryan tied BGA can be argued against you just as much it can be argued for you moron. BGA didnt win that game. BGA capitalized on a Father Ryan team who didnt play the first half. Father Ryan scored three clutch goals showing that if they would have buckled down the whole game a victory would have been theirs. Father Ryan is a better team than BGA. When both teams are playing their best the game will be good to watch. BGA has no reason to get cocky about this game nor does ride red have any right to be childish about his posts. the next meeting between Father Ryan and BGA should be very exciting.
  19. I agree. Mark Mcwatters is definitely one of the best, solid keepers I have ever seen. He has superb technique, great athleticism, and the will to be the driving force for Father Ryan. A great leader and a good keeper all in one is defnitely "all-state" material.
  20. Why discredit Father Ryan? They've got the talent to take USN and MBA. I don't have to mention the Ryan vs. JPII game do I? I'm still wondering how USN got such a good ranking. They don't deserve what was it 7th? No the don't deserve that high at all. Drop them back a few spots if we're going the be realistic. Father Ryan easily has the region but I don't know how your darkhorse.
  21. Father Ryan dominated Randolph 5-0 tonight and hopes to keep it up throughout the tournament this weekend. With 20 mph winds, 45 degree temperature, and a field drenched in ice cold water the Irish scored three goals in the first half and two in the second. (Jr.) Chris Perry scored two with assists on both from (Jr.) Rusty Denson. (Sr.) Patrick Carrol also scored two with assists from (Sr.) Corey Sharp and (Sr.) Midfielder Paul Gaffney. Min Jung scored the other goal unassisted. (Sr.) Goalkeep Mark Mcwatters only faced 3 shots on goal the first half and seven total. Another shut-out for Mcwatters and his defense. The weather was so poor that the halves were cut to thirty minutes each. Father Ryan had no problem with Randolph tonight even with the slippery conditions. Father Ryan has a good chance of dominating the tournament if they play to their potential.
  22. Tonight Father Ryan Played a lackluster Jp2 and defeated them 5-0. Senior M. McWatters (G) Played with a stomach virus and shut out Jp2, imagine what he could done when healthy. Father Ryan has tough players who work hard and want the win. An exciting season is set before us especially with the caliber players at Father Ryan.
  23. Father Ryan is a force to be reckoned with. Seniors like P. Gaffney and A. Rodriguez are not easily challenged especially in the midfield. Once in the flow M. McWatters (G) is like a brick wall leading his team to victories. Recently in Memphis Father Ryan defeated Bearden, a strong team who plays a little dirty. MUS and Christian brothers can also be stopped by Father Ryan. Junior C. Perry leads the offense with C. Sharp and C. Santos at his sides. Hot headed but with the skill to back it up, Father Ryan's players make it an interestion game to watch.
  24. Father Ryan Scores CBHS 3 Father Ryan 1 MUS 2 Father Ryan 3 Bearden 1 Father Ryan 2
