Rebs lead 7-0 at half, but didn't look that great! #62 is a great player though. He was everywhere out there, but I did see a very weak spot on that D and that was the secondary. The middle was wide open all night!! Other than that it was the same ol' Maryville! Spit backs, off tackle, smash mouth football!!

I agree with you on this one! I think Alcoa should have had a few more scrimmages to get back into it! I heard there's a special teams scrimmage with Central tonight, but I'm not too sure! I hope they are ready by next week or it could be ugly!

I never said anything about the scrimmage! I know both teams stunk it up out there, and FB I never said Alcoa was "Great"!! But you do talk down on Alcoa in most of your most! I give Maryville all the credit in the world, they're a great team any everything but you just keep two numbers in mind and think about it for a min. 300 compared to 1500!! Hopefully Alcoa will come out better than they did last year and Tuesday for that matter!! thumb

I get sick and tired of you talking down to Alcoa FB!! You make it seem like the Mighty Rebs are loaded with D-1 talent!!! Tell me a few names because I haven't heard of any that are being recruited heavily!! And what do you mean "one or two great years"? If I'm not mistaken Alcoa has what.....6 gold balls and the Rebs have 8!! So don't act like Alcoa doesn't have a winning tradition!! You always degrade Alcoa, but you try to make it seem like you're not and I'm tired of hearing it!!! I can't wait til the 26th!!!

I will be making that 2 1/2 hr drive to Oak Ridge to watch this one. I've always wanted to scrimmage OR and now here's our chance!! It should be a great scrimmage and lots of hard hittin!!!

2000 semi's Alcoa vs. Goodpasture in a down pour!! GP lead 7-0 with 1 min. left in the half, and James Rainer catches a middle screen and made some ridiculous moves on his way to a 35 yrd. touchdown!! That tied the game and Alcoa never looked back!! thumb

To win a STATE TITLE with some of the best athletes in the southeast!! Is that a good enough reason?? Plus, after Lindsey leaves, then he'll have another season all to himself! Dude you're stupid!! Actually he was around 220 his first yr. then he dropped to 215, and the 205. Now he told me he was around 215, but I'm not sure. Jeff. Co. may not win 4 games if they lose Shiverdecker!! I've heard that he is looking to join the defending 2a state champs!! What an addition he will be for Alcoa! With him and Duck in the backfield, THAT is a SCARY thing!! My source is pretty reliable!!!

Hold on now buddy!! Size isn't everything! You must have playmakers and a good coaching staff also! And IMO I don't recall the Owls being heavyweights! When was the last time they went to the Boro??? Thank you! They are a good 5a team, but I think Alcoa can hang with a GOOD 5a team IMO!!

Duck is my boy, but he doesn't run a 4.4 yet!! He will be that fast some day though and I really don't wanna hear these so called 4.2's, so please have legit times!! thumb

The bottom line is to be such a small school we can compete with the best in just about any sport!.........especially track! I'm not being cocky, just confident!! thumb

How are we cocky? I am confident in my team, and I will let anyone on here know what I think!! I never said we could beat everyone in the state, but we ARE one of the best 2a teams!!! And FBE, I never said we were a powerhouse, but we do have LOTS of tallent. We have tallent every year, and I don't care what anyone thinks about that!! Like I stated earlier, Triple our numbers and we'd be very, very dangerous!!!!!!!! thumb

If there is 411 students at Alcoa now then that is a record!! When I was there we only had around 370, and that included the faculty!! Yes, we are supposed to be in 1a, but moved up to get better competition!! It's scary that a school so small can have so much talent!! It makes you wonder where the tallent comes from huh?? Like I stated before, triple the numbers and this is a different ball game!!

I don't like the people that put together the all-star rosters!! When I played we had 7 people make all-state and a Mr. Football finalist, and not one player made either original all-star roster, not even the East-West game! I was invited to the Tn-Ky a week later, but I was mad and turned it down!! Can anyone tell me who picks the Athletes for these games??
