Let's hope that the coaches see that the equpiment bags are on board. Those old bats had no ping to them!! If Grundy plays defensively like they did last night, this one could be a great game. Congratulations, Boone for hitting a triple to bring home the winning run. Is it just me or did the ump behind the plate change how he had been calling ball and strikes in the bottom of the 7th? Did anyone really think that both runners were out at 1st and 3rd? Great game by both teams.

Skylar Seals pitched tonight as Grundy soundly defeated Lebanon 8-2. Grundy's bats were hot and the defense did an outstanding job. Grundy plays Upperman at 10:30 CST tomorrow.

Grundy wins 12-1 in 5 innings. "Bob" had an in the park homerun; Skylar pitched a good game; 3rd string catcher, "Roger Dodger," did a great job. #5 had a triple and some RBI's. Everyone had a good game. Brewer and Griswold should be back soon. Howard is at 4:30 CST Wed. at Grundy. Pirates come to town Thursday. See you at the game.

Congratulations, boys for winning the 2nd game of the double header at Marion! Because Monday's and Tuesday's games were rained out, I heard the district rule is for a double header to be played at the field of the first missed game. I don't think that because the teams get along well had anything to do with it. Grundy fans were there in force!! Geat job, guys. See you at East Ridge.

Sitz and Smalley did pitch. Smalley hit 2 batters in the first inning. Melton got a hit for 2 RBIs in the 1st. Smalley hit 4 batters overall. Fults had a homer and Sitz a double. Grundy had at least 8 hits. Grundy was ready tonight.

With the stands packed with Grundy fans and about 20 from East Ridge, the Jackets won a well-played game on both sides. Big plays from Sitz, Griswold, and Willoughby saved the day. Fults was outstanding on the mound. As usual, Wild Fire on 1st did his part. Christian also played well. Everyone did a great job at each position. Grundy fans will travel with their team to Chattanooga. If the fans can support them with large numbers at Cocoa Beach, then making it to Chattanooga is almost like a home game.

Go to Vanderbilt, major in English, come to Grundy County and teach us country folks how to speak property and spell. Until that day, we will to continue to poke fun at our dialect. Does anyone know the score from the Unicoi Co. vs Alcoa game? The Times said the winner will face Grundy.

Either Toby was better than I thought, or Greenbrier was overrated. Hixson, Meigs and Walker Valley were much more of a threat. I think the Chatt. media has missed a golden opportunity in showcasing the talent that Grundy has. If this were Marion County football with Colquette coaching, how much coverage would there have been? Get with it Chattanooga and cover this team. You have egg on your face!!!!!! When we won the district tourney, there wasn't even an article.

It should be apparent that the batting averages for Grundy were legitimate.
