  1. I suppose that backwoods sugar whole you went to didnt' show you how to start a sentence with a capitol letter either.
  2. I am not bashing either coach, I don't know Rogers but i knew of hewit. I know back then they had lots of speed and size.
  3. Yeah, I got two words for ya. GROW UP!!!
  4. Thats right jumper. Tell ti to the grass if you want someone to listen. Dresden is not near the team it use to be under head coach Scott Hewitt, nothing against Rogers but dresden just doesn't have the athleats it use to have back in the day. And what do you expect? Me to go with Dresden because you take pride in sucking up to the coaches there? You're probably one of the parents that hang out at their practices trying to tell the coach's what to do. because I pick the better team to win, DUH! isn't that what the poster wanted to know, ppls opinion. Becasue I am not wasting another second arguing with some computer geek online, get me thumb find something else to do.
  5. i can give you my opinion but you won't like it. I think Dresden loses by 1 td.
  6. I guess it depends on how fast you tap the speed burst button.
  7. NOW WE'RE TALKING!!! Is I had to choose this would be the game of the week. I think this will be a close game, very close. I been watching camden for the past few years and they seem to get better every year. Mck. has a great coaching staff and an offense that will score quick.
  8. Go www.dresdenfootball.com There is a radio there. I am not even going too, if you believe someone then good if you don't then good. If I am, in your oppinion hypothetically a scout then which would be easier driving everywhere or getting on these HS message boards and gettting some information by reading?
  9. Learn to read. I graduated from TC Williams HS in Alexandria, Virginia where my favorite all time linebacker Gerry Bertier played. I received a scholorship to play at Southern Virginia University. I played in 2 games as a fresh and made 6 solos. I started every game from my soph year till graduation. I am now a scout for them. If this hewit is someone you give all this credit too then for the sake of DHS football he better be as good as you say. I see your judgment is way off, this kid can't even carry the ball correctly, plus, use your common sense if you have any, he's a soph. If I am driving 300 mils to see a kid play football he darn well better be able to back it up. Yeah, not bad considering GC hasn't won a game since 2000. How many fumbles did dresden have in the first Quarter? I stopped listening to the game with they fumbled the second time but thats that "best of running backs" crap you speak of. thumb LOL, First off he needs to grow some and get faster. Second, if he is stiff arming a 90 pound defensive player he would be dog meat in college. Third, just from the picture he may be good enough to play for a 3rd string team thats if he can keep from fumbling the football from carrying it like a loaf of bread. Fourth, you obviously know nothing about scouting ppl don't scout sophs. Oh yeah there are plenty of freshmen runningbacks carrying 7 carries for over 150 yards. Naw, I don't think I would be all over him, correction, I won't be all over him. I'll come around his junior-senior year and see what he has become if we choose to fit him in our offense. How many kids from Va to Redneck west tn are there that are much better than him? Don't make this any harder for yourself as it is, you've already made a fool of yourself. thumb I guess hitting a soph in hs 170 pound running back is different from hitting 250 Runningbacks from Va Tech that run 4.4s-4.5s. LOL "Yeah buddy" LOL
  10. Dresden 29 Gibson 8 3rd Q FYI-The last win Gibson had was back in 2000. They are on a 33 game losing streak.
  11. Yeah, great looking site. thumb Its not just the lions its the 13 HS teams, and Dresden is the worst of them all, that everyone builds up in the preseason to be so big they you would think they'd go state. And then they lose every game, win the easy ones and lose the ones to good teams OR they win against the good teams that are having a bad year and everyone thinks "wow told you they were good" Everyone talked about how dresden was so good last year. Just my oppinion but barely winning against a good team because you got a bounce on the fumble is not blowing away that team. But a win is a win. Westview had a down year and dresden barely beat them, ok maybe dresden was better but not by much and westview had what, 2 wins last year? So what does that say. UC only had 1 win, that was against Dresden. So, where is this awsome team. Blow away Humbolt, milan, UC and Westview and then I will chip in with the crowd "Dresden is awsome" but they are winning games that they are suppose to win and some games they are suppose to win but they are not. I looked at their schedule this year. Gibson Co. this game could go either way, if Gibson wins they end a 33 game losing streak Humbolt- if dresden wins it won't be by much but more then likely thei will lose by 2 or more tds Lighthouse- who are these ppl, big win for dresden (dresden fans don't get your hopes up, this is one of those that dresden is suppose to win) Peabody-depending on what peabody can do with the ball this year, I'd say this is a loss to dresden SF- always about the same but this could go either way. IMO, I think SF wins by 1 or 2 tds Westview- Win for Martin here McKenzie- if the WR run their rountes and give Hayes time to through he will pick apart that intermeadiate defense of dresden. MCK wins BIG. If not dresden wins by 3 points Milan-must a I say more dresden is lucky if they get 2 tds Camden- Camden has 2 runningbacks that are faster than anyone I have seen in HS football. They are bros, if I am not mistaken they are both in HS if not the other is still in Junior High. either way, Camden wins big UC- come on, UC's 3rd team could beat dresden. So at most dresden MIGHT win 3-4 games this year but you never know. So there is my oppinion you may not like it and thats fine tell it to the grass while it grows cause I dont' care. And picts say alot most that words can't explain, bottom line, that pic above says that this Hewit kid can't hang on to the ball correctly, doesn't know when or when not to juke or run over someone. That kid is about 90 pounds and he is stiff arming him. To each his own btu I am a scout for a small college so I see this stuff all the time. But in all seriousness good luck to everyone but dresden is not as good as everyone says thats the point of this post not that I hope they lose every game, they jsut might thats the nature of the law.
  12. I agree 100%, I never played runningback. I play middle linebacker if some kid tried to stiff are me he had my helmet in his chest.
  13. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2nd year in HS the "dresdens best back" hasn't even learned to cover up the ball. thumb now thats a "best back"
  14. LOL. If that is one of Dresden's best backs then no wonder they can't win no more than 6 games, and thats over a 5 year period. Carrying the football and stiff arming someone are two totaly different things. Yes he is stiff arming someone that is 4 times smaller than him therefore he should have ran over him instead (but oh yeah he's on od dresden't best backs LOL) leave it up to the "best back" to stiff arm a kid that looks like he is in junior high instead of running behind his pads. Was he scared? Now the other half, he is carrying the football like its a loaf of bread, neither one of the ends are covered up all someone has to do is thump it and then "dresden's best back" has fumbled the football but I guess thats what the "best backs in dresden" do. thumb Keep up the good work though with poor coaching skills like the one above I bet dresden goes 7-0..........if you add their wins and dicard their loses over a period of 20 years.
  15. I don't have a clue, when I was in college it was workout, girls, study and party party party with more girls.
  16. The fastest person in the state would be Larry Joe Bob from the hills of Opossum Creek Woods. He runs a 100 yard dash in 2.4 sec carrying deer hide.
  17. My question is: what do you think makes a good/great linebacker? what do you think makes a good/great runningback? Is it size, speed genetically better atheletically, hard worker in the weight room, hard worker mentally studying other linebackers/runningbacks maybe that are in the NFL, or they have no atheletic ability but they love to play and love to hit?? what are your oppinions on this? obviously a person that is blessed with athletic ability is a good rb/lb but does hard working make up for it. what about just someone that loves to play. i mean someone that looks at the small to big picture that loves the finer things about it. For starters, they love the smell of the pads, the smell of the locker room, the sound of pads hitting, the rush you get when you knock someone down the smell of the grass on the field. someone that just wants to be out there hitting weather they are starting or sitting just as long as they get to hit in practice and be apart of something. what do you guys think?
  18. Again i know of a few lightweights ie; 150-170 pounds that are benching and squating more than the 250-350 lineman are. but again that doesn't matter 2 cents worth on the field. i know from experience and from others that someone that power cleans and squats more weight thatn anyone will not help them run over someone that don't squat or power clean as much. its all about size and technique. ppl that are tall are blessed with the leverage advantage. i squated 505 one year adn hit a guy that was bigger than i but i knew ( was on the same team as i ) he was weak in the weight room. what happened? i got put on my butt.
  19. This is what i just got through saying
  20. they may come off as negative but by no means do i mean them to be. just making an observation. maybe one of that guys coach's or friends will look on here and see what i wrote and then go back and tell him. "hey!!, put two hands on the ball" then that guy because of what i wrote may not ever fumble the ball.
  21. Uhhh......I think their Junior high could beat their hs.....honestly.
  22. Yes hypothetically on paper. Like I said GAME SPEED. If the running back ran a 4.9 and the db ran a 4.30 and the RB has already started down the field with no one in site that DB ain't going to catch that RB no matter what his 40 time is. This could go on and on for ever. I played football since I was 11. I played in college and started in 11 out or 11 games my Soph year, I played in every game from then on out. After college I became a scout for the same school. I know about 40 times and all the hype. I know about cone drills, bench max and all that "good stuff" when the game is on the line thats what matters. your 4.26 40 time, your 165 pounds of weight benching 500 pounds and squating 1000 pounds, your Iron Man club tee-shirt, your awards from the lift-a-thon is all trash and thrown out the window. If you can hold on to the ball, square up your shoulders, run North and South, keep your feet moving after contact and run behind your pads then that is a good football player 5.9 or 2.9 40 won't matter. You run a 4.0 40 time but you can't catch, hold on to the ball, or take or make a hit then you are pretty much worthless unless you want ot run track.
  23. You guys are just plain crazy. I know about a hand full of HS players that ran (when I played) low 4.5s. Actually there were only about 4 the fastest was a 4.45 and the other was a 4.5 flat. If you guys say that a 4.5 or a 4.4 is not possible in HS and NFL scouts shoudl be all over then then darn, how come I am not in the NFL? I dont' know why ppl go by 40 times in the first place, its pointless. How many times is a football player, in a game going to line up in a sprinters stance and sprint, without breaking stride 40 yards down field? Game speed is all that matters. 40 times just look good for college scouts and to have a good 40 time you have to have a fast first step and quick take off. I knew we where going to time 40s in the off season so I did drills all summer to make me have a blazing fast first step. Thats all it is. Basically its not unheard of for a HS player to run a fast 40 and Second its not big deal if he can. 4.36 and a 4.5 flat is only different on the watch. If they raced side by side you (the human eye) would see nothing but a tie, thats how close it is. So lets move on to something important, like yards after the first touch. Thats what counts.
  24. well for one who ever that is, is carrying the ball like its a loaf of bread. 2. the guy trying to make the tackle is not showing very good form.
