  1. Ofcourse we do, considering Robinson puts up those stats in 1A football, and Atchley puts his up in 5A. How do you figure Robinson is better?
  2. Don't get to high on yourself denlron.....Those 70 yards to McDade were over Dobbs on the first play he has played defensively since the Heritage game. Everyone for Soddy knew where that ball was going because it had been open for two straight plays. Dobbs was shoved in there without ever practicing this week and the Owls finally capitalized on something that was there the whole night....Sorry to burst your bubble...
  3. The injury bug has been all over the Trojans since day 1, but Dobbs was the biggest loss for the OR game. He will most likely be back this week, which will allow Atchley and Ricketts to spread the field. Not making any predictions, but if SD's defense plays like they did in the 1st half vs. OR (minus the reverse quarterback throwback play), their passing game will keep them in it and make this a good game. Even if SD comes up short, don't count them out of the playoff race. If Ooltewah and McMinn both lose this week, it will come down to the SD-Ooltewah game to decide who gets in (SD w/ 4 losses, Ooltewah w/ 3, heads up tie breaker)
  4. It was 14-7 at halftime....Soddy made no adjustments and Oak Ridge did. They are a good team, but definately not unbeatable....Soddy moved the ball better on their defense than they did against McMinn and they still didn't have Dobbs. Good luck to OR the rest of the year.
  5. Your obviously blind because the only game I saw him he dropped a WIDE open pass vs. Rhea County. He is a very good linebacker though.
  6. I am a Trojan fan, but OR is right- they have the right to talk smack considering they have dominated this region in the past, are #2 in the state, and are looking to go undefeated....The only way that you can change that is to go out there and win Friday.....
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Farragut returned all of their front seven from a tough D last year, but they lost all of their DBs. I think if Dobbs is back by that game, Soddy will win. They killed Farragut w/ the pass last year, and I don't think anything will change this year (they have two of the best receivers in the state)....BUT if Dobbs isn't back and Soddy's offense is one dimensional, it could be a looong night for the Trojans.
  8. Who is looking good at the wide receiver position in 5A?
  9. So I guess you made the trip up to Maryville to watch Soddy play cooter?
  10. And don't forget the extra motivation he had from all the cute little signs Hixson put everywhere telling him to "stick to baseball."
  11. He is as fast as Skogen...They are both very similar....not the fastest, but tall, athletic, with good hands.
  12. Can anybody give an overview of Heritage's team?
  13. Let's all remember how "talented" Boyd-Buchanan was last year. Now they have moved up one classification and they are 1-4...Temple is weak team with two good players whos stats are blown up because they play even weaker teams..I understand you guys are supporting your players, but this is not basketball.
  14. That's a bad argument. I know Tony Taylor plays both ways, and Atchley plays WR, safety, punt returner, and holder.....And they play 3A and 5A....Skogen may be a good player, but he will never be able to truly prove that because his team plays teams like Taft Youth Center and only wins by 11!!
