First of all Defense06, was I ever talking to you about crying or complaining? Last time I checked, I wasn't. Second...you need to go back and read the previous posts because that is all people have done is bashed Powell. Third, look at all the people who have bashed Hollifield, Ogan, and Huff. They deserve everything they have earned as players, and they are great kids to go along with that. I never bashed anyone, that is extremely low of anyone to do of a young kid. I said I was taking nothing away from Phipps because she is a good player as well as a good kid, but I simply asked where she was going to school. I don't consider that "bashing," but I do consider it "bashing" when someone says that a kid is not good enough to go somewhere they have already committed to, or someone saying that a kid never plays. All my facts are straight, it looks like you need to get yous straight.

Stop complaining about people "discrediting" your MOwest team because that is pretty much what all you people from there have been doing to the Powell team. I agree with you about them having a good season and a good post season, but they were beaten by Powell...so give them some credit. As far as everyone saying they had a pitiful showing in State...just imagine how MoWest's showing would have been since they were beat by Powell. Fastpace...stop knocking Hollifield!! Where is your girl Phipps going if she is such a great player? I take nothing away from her because she is a great kid as well as a good player, but stop knockin other girls it is not fair to them!! I saw the game on Friday night and the officiating wasn't as bad as you Morristown West people say it was. The only reason the foul ratio was so significant in the second half was because Mo. West had to foul in order to get the ball back. Quit cryin about the officiating, they didn't lose the ball game. You all should be proud of your girls for making it to the final 16 teams in the state. As for Cait, she has been extremely sick the past two weeks, throwing up, running a fever, coughing, and she now has a sinus infection. She is not out of shape by any means, and if you think that, then there is something seriously wrong with your vision. She generally plays the whole game and never sits down. I don't think the Alabama coaches would commit an out of shape player to play in the SEC (which is the best league in the country). So stop knocking the SEC as well....Where is Phipps going to college? She is a good player, but don't start knocking someone who deserves the scholarship she has EARNED to go to Alabama. And for shutting her down, she had 15 points and 13 rebounds, was 11-12 from the line, as well as helped handle the ball the entire night. She earned her points by getting to the free throw line. As for ballplaya06, you must play on the Morristown West team, and be around the age of 18 because that is about how immature your post is.

Mt. Juliet has all the pressure on them this year. They obviously won last year and only lost two players....both I know were key to the teams success, but they still should be contenders once again. Mt. Juliet beats Heritage in the finals and win for the second year in a row.

No one can stop Cait McMahan....so Heritage wins the state!! Mt. Juliet should be tough once again this year. Shelbyville is always there and should compete strong. Some sleepers in AAA might be Oak Ridge, (Keke Stewart is one of the best in the state) Powell, (They have been there the past 2 years) and Cumberland County (Very quick and play good defense).

I don't see the the scores really being "run up".....if I remember correctly I don't think that Mt. Juliet won by more than 30. They beat Walker Valley by 9, Powell by 15, Lake Mary by 20 something, and they beat Greeneville by 20 or so. The MJ team is a good ball club and they won the games they played by good margines. They didn't ever press when they were up by a lot they controlled the ball and ran their offense. From what I saw Coach Friar even played the second and third strings to reserve his starters and get his younger kids experience. That is the way I saw the games that they played this past week. And truthfully I didn't see any of the games the whole week where the scores were "run up." Maybe I am wrong!!

They may not be the best team in the state this year, but they have the best coach....the Little Man from down at the ville. Other coaches in TN that are excellent are Jim Brown, Jill Prudden, Chris Friar, and Lynn Burkey. There are several teams that have good coaches but these are the BEST!!

I am just an unbiased poster....just sayin what I am seein in this case readin!! I have no one close on any team in the State...I just love watchin girls basketball!!
