I can't predict what the outcome would have been for Powell in Region 5 but Region 2 is a very strong region as well with Oak Ridge, Heritige, Farragut, Karns, Campbell Co., William Blount, Maryville, Sevier County, etc. Two of these teams were highly rated in USA Today early in the year.

Man, you would think fastpace would eventually get over the loss to the Lady Panthers. If you think Powell didn't show up in the state tourney, just imagine what would have happened to your MoWest team if they would have made it to the State. Get over it.....you got beat....2006 is over. Start working on next season and we'll see how you do next year in sub state.

Powell should make a run to return to the Boro for the 4th straight year as they lose (1) senior.

Papatj, Great job messing up a congratulations thread. I guess it makes you happy to voice your opinion to slam a young lady "Erin" who had a wonderful high school career. She will be a starter at UTC for the next 3 years and will be extremely successful. If you knew anything about college basketball you would know that Chattanooga can play and beat many of the 12 SEC teams this year. Erin is playing with some really outstanding seniors. By the way, playing for a "pitiful" Alabama team in the SEC is the same. The last time I looked, Alabama plays all other 11 SEC teams. So they are competiting against the best in the country day in and day out. There are two east Tennesse girls headed to Alabama to support them in rebuilding their program. One would think a supporter of TN girls / basketball such as yourself you could provide a positive statement or refrain from ignorant remarks.

May I remind you Powell 62 MW 55, Powell Sub State Champions. I hope you shut down Caitlin again next year!!!

So you think you shut Hollifield down......well she scored 15 pts and had 13 rebounds and she was sick and "puked" 5 times during the game. She sat out most of the 2nd quarter in foul trouble. It was a solid team victory by the Panthers....inside / outside and solid shooting from the foul line which usually wins games. It was your home court with your tri-cities officials (all three are out of the tri-cities association). You got all the calls in the first half and we got a few calls in the second. Quit crying about the game, it's history. You have a very fine team and should be proud of their accomplishments. Wonder what the score might have been if Caitlin were well?

Congratulations to the Lady Panthers for a great win tonight over a very fine Morristown West team. The Lady Panthers are headed back to the Boro for the 3rd straight year. Who would have thought in mid-season that these young ladies would put together a fine run in post season play. Congratulations to players and coaches and good luck on Thursday!!!!!!
