  1. Prospect I think we need to check your "facts" again. Looks to me like two silver and one GOLD ball. Way to go Mustangs! Your fans did not say much on this board, we were just waiting to see you play your game for the championship, and that you did.
  2. Over the years, (from Jr High School) several of the Lipscomb girls played together as the "Stampede". (at an earlier age some played on other AAU teams) But for the last two years almost everyone played on the Stampede team , they won the Division II championship last summer.
  3. I know the "live" updates are given, but will final game stats be posted anywhere on CoachT?
  4. shpshter93 , don't know if you were at the championship game last night at Spring Hill, but the rim that was so loose on Monday night had been repaired. Nice Gym, you would think before hosting Region, they would have made sure everything was good to go.
  5. To Marshall County, You played a great game last night. Was one of the best defensive teams Lipscomb faced all year. You have a very good team and great fan support. With no seniors this year, you will only get better over the next couple of years. Good Luck vs McNairy central on Saturday night, let's hope region 5 brings 2 teams to State. To PageMan, you are the best- Thanks for your game updates. To the Lipscomb Lady Mustangs, GOOD JOB! You never gave up, you played as a team, and did what you have been doing all season. Six girls on your team have now received honors for regular season or Tournament play(Christmas, District and Region) Seven girls have been game high scorer, you all rebound, pass, and play D. Good Luck Saturday Night- keep it going. Your job is not finsihed
  6. I just came upon this set of messages on the article about the DL girls team. I thought I might clear up how and why the article came about. As the dad of one of the Lipscomb seniors, I watched their final season start and thought about how wonderful it has been to watch these girls grow up together. I also thought it was unusual to have a group that has been successful because they play as a team, without any "superstars". I did not know anyone at the Tennessean, but took the time to send them an e-mail, and suggested a human interest story- about this group of girls, their time together and their friendship. While the point is made that these girls came together in the first grade and would dispel any "recruiting" theories- this was not done as a part of the public vs private debate. The interview was done, the article was written and sat in the can at the Tennessean until the football bowl season ended. (they were waiting for a quiet time for local sports) Newpapers are always looking for stories of interest, and based on the comments several of the girls have recieved around Nashville from people with no "Lipscomb" connection- it hit the mark. I do not think "public or private" had any influence on the Tennessean's decision to do the story. I am sure there are plenty of stories out there, if you have an idea- I would suggest you contact your local paper, give them the idea and a few details and see where it goes. http://preps.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/...75&game_id=
  7. Morton If you do not already have it, this link should take you to the updated brackets http://www.jim314.com/ Looks like the Region 5 teams will be playing Liberty Tech Mag and McNairy Central. Go Lady Mustangs KB's dad
  8. They were to play one game on Friday and one on Saturday. But some of the Lipscomb girls wanted to go to Dyersburg for the football playoff game. The tournament director worked things out this way at Lipscomb's request. The girls should be OK, playing two or more games within a few hours is nothing new to them. They played AAU over the summer, went to two team camps, and were at a couple of "play days" within the last few weeks. Hope they all come home healthy.
  9. When I saw the score my first question was and still is "Did they leave the 1st team in to do it"? Most teams pull their starters out when they have a team down by 30-40 points. It gives the JV team some time on the floor and cuts down on the chance of getting a starter hurt in a game that has been decided. Were they pressing on defense, and if so, were they still pressing a team down by 60 points? From the box scores, it looked like PC scored about the same number of points each qtr.. If they did it with the starters in- what's the point? If they did it with the subs in, then the score is what it is.
  10. David Lipscomb Lady Mustangs had wins over Cheatham Co, Spring Hill, and Riverdale.
  11. Lipscomb girls are playing well. Along with the AAU Div II title, they went undefeated at the Lipscomb University team camp and made it to the final four at the University of Louisville team camp. This weekend the lady Mustangs went to overtime with Shelbyville in their first play day, before getting beat by one point. They then won games over Whites Creek and Gallatin. If they stay healthy, should make a run to "the boro"
  12. From CoachT I see that Lipscomb has had a scrimmage with White House and Overton. Who has Goodpasture worked out with?
