    MBA At McCallie

the de with the weird name? do you mean nagle or brown? anyways, I feel that one cannot determine which team is better in this matchup. both are well coached, both have great athletes. its just going to come down to who has the fewer penalties i feel.
  2. Who do you think is going to be the one to step up? The person who is going to lead on the field and make plays. Any names come to mind?
  3. Last year's MBA - BA regular season game was the saddest game for both teams. It gave BA an undeserved win thanks to the refs who were not looking at the clock when it ran out (What a horriable way to win a game) and it kicked MBA out of the USA today top 10. However, it was sweeeeeeeeet to kill them 38-14 in the Clinic Bowl with the BA fan's hanging a "EXCUSES, EXCUSES" sign for everyone to see. It was funny to see one of the MBA dads to sneak over to the BA sideline after we spanked them 38-14 and steal their sign. It hangs in our "hall of champions" display right above our 2003 Clinic Bowl trophy today.
  4. Another note about MBA, ever since the TSSAA has existed (and even before then), MBA has always played in the highest classification whether it was DI or DII. They have always played against the best teams in the state (and out of the state) in the highest class possible. BA...... has not. BA has always chosen to be in the classification where they feel they would succeed the most. This may account for why BA has the most state championships of any school in the state. MBA has always competed with the best regardless of whether they thought they would succeed or not. So, even though BA may take pride in the fact that they have the most championships, MBA will always take pride in the fact that they have played with the toughest and the best in the state every year and they got something to show for it now...........PRIDE, TRADITION, AND EXCELLENCE!
  5. 1) Montgomery Bell Academy 2) Brentwood Academy 3) Riverdale 4) Maryville 5) tie Christian Brothers / Memphis University School 6) Germantown 7) Dobyns Bennett 8) McCallie 9) tie Austin East and Fulton 10) Alcoa MBA will win its third straight championship (6 championships in 7 years and 6-6 in clinic bowl appearances). Can't choose between CBHS-MUS and AE-Fulton. Both will be great games. Gotta wait to see the results in the season. Anybody want to make changes?

i cant register for bluegrasspreps.com. unlike coacht, it costs something.
  10. I went to bluegrasspreps.com the other day, check out what Kentucky is saying about the game. http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=42390 Last year: MBA 17 TRINITY 13. Trinity is out for revenge this year, and its on their turf. What do ya'll think about the upcoming showdown? predictions? thoughts? comments?
  11. Although they have lost Tommy Hart, I dont believe the team as a whole will be hurt. MBA surely has alot of depth to fill that spot.
  12. How can you say that last year's regular season ba vs. mba game is the most classic game ever? IT WAS A FLUKE! the refs messed up. BA got lucky. I am usually a BA fan, but after that game I felt ashamed that my team had won unfairly. Actually, I was embarrassed that we needed those ref's horriable calls to win that game. Moreover, they couldnt back up their "undeserved" win when they played again in the clinic bowl. they got plundered! (38-14). In my opinion, last years clinic bowl should be the #1 classic game ever! it had everything: competition, emotion, revenge, and determination on mba's part to "embarrass" their rivals in what should have been a close game.
  13. I dont think Billy will be playing much this year due to a torn ACL the year before against BA. The Offense looks like this I think: Tackles: Birdsong, Maxwell Guards: Edwards, Landman Center: Lundy TE: Carney QB: Burns FB: Pilkerton RB: Snyder and defense: D-Line: Bubis, Tipton, Adams(moved to D-Line) D-Ends: Nagle, Brown Linebackers: Pilkerton, Beckner D-Backs: Crumbo, Williams, Warfield, Hanfelt
