Truth is that upper East TN does not have the talent year in and year out as teams do west of Morristown. There are a few exceptions over the years, DB has made the semis past Knox and Chatt teams a few times, Cloudland has too. But when upper East TN hits the Knox and Chattanooga teams in the PLAYOFFS, it is trouble

South is lucky they never play Knox or Chatt teams until the semis, then they get drilled, but think it is cool to get to the semis. Forget the way the regions are laid out, DB can sometimes beat these teams, South can't, but gets to say they went to the semis.

It is just Knoxville and Chatt teams that own upper east TN. DB beats them sometimes, but remember SOuth has only beaten 1 team east of Morristown ever. That was Powell back like 15 years ago.

I promise you DB fans wish the media would not do this to them.

You act like DB ranks themselves #1. The media in upper east TN votes them that way because thats all they know. Middle and West media don't participate in voting as much so thats why. DB fans know the team is not the best so get over yourself. Also, nice touch with the player running over to taunt the DB coaches. Act like you have been there before. Most McMinn players did, but the ones that don't always ruin it for the rest of em.

Close game. It had all the fans unsure until the end. I feel like DB would benefit from passing a bit more on first down. I know DB really missed the go to guy in Ashlon Adams ( 6'5 receiver out with mono) in this game because he was always there across the middle and nearly impossible to cover most the time. Hopefully he will be back soon, he really gives us more options. Anyone know if he will be back? Steele was a star tonight. I thought Science Hill had a last second TD for sure, the ghuy was wide open and Steele came outta nowhere. Good luck against Farragut, they are tough as nails and are probably the best team in the state minus one breakdown against Ooltewah that I bet Farragut would win 9 outta 10 games played.

denlron has a big head because his Ooltewah Owls beat Farragut and that was impressive. But, what he does not know (by buying into the whole DB chokes in the 1st round lie), that since 2000 DB has only 2 first round losses, as does Ooltewah, (wow did you not just call out DB for the same thing, better check your stats before you sling mud there_). However denlron, DB made the playoff every year since 2000 (actually since 92), which before that DB kills the Owls in playoff appearences) and Ooltewah did not (because Ooltewah first showed in 200 playoffs). So it looks like to me, you called out DB, but your Owls have done worse. Pretty funny. You should do some research. And further DB has 2 semis games since 2000 as does Ooltewah, but DB has 3 quarter appearances, your owls have none. So basically since 2000, DB owns you in the playoffs, look it up. Also, Ooltewah has about 200-300 more students during this time. Sorry, you lose

03 is the worst kind of fan. He was a TN High fan during that magic 2004 season. Then, he magically erased all of his post about TN High and became a "Maryville" fan as all the posters on here that have been around 4 plus years remember. What is obvious is his hate for DB. Most every post is bashing DB. Do any other Maryville fans care about bashing DB? No! Because 03 is a closet TN High fan that screams he is a Maryville fan when asked now. True Sevier County was the last East TN Team. But, see that east really only has 2 and a half regions in 5A. Middle has most of 3,4 5,& 6. East has far fewer teams. Middle has double the chance as East or West.

Oh and Cap1, you knocked on Chris Sensabaugh earlier in the season saying quote, "You guys in DB have to get your head out of the clouds with your CS expectations. If Coach Smith uses Ryan Mitchell even sparingly in his offense, nobody will even remember Chris's name after this year. Ryan is also a sophomore and only touched the ball maybe 6 times (5-80 rushing), one went for a 56 yard TD and then you add the spectacular kickoff return that was one person away from taken it to the house. I've seen both (CS twice) ;and he is BETTER...deal with it. As far as the two teams compare to each other...all you have to do is take a look at the rosters on paper....It don't take rocket science. They have 20+ player over 220 pounds. They have a TE that is 6'4" 230 with great feet, the problem is they did not use him at all...so you don't know if he can even catch. Believe me with a good coach they could remove all starters and still match DB (and any other team in the area) with size and talent. But the bottom line is that SS will never be able to put a game plan together to beat a GC coached team end of story!!! Switch coaches and DB would have a loosing season and SH would be 5A State Champions. JMO Just a note...SH has at least three backs that would challenge CS for the starting position if they were at DB...and that's not an exaggeration. No one can ever question the fact that I have never said that DB wasn't a good team, but I have and I still do question your depth (in size and talent). Does that make Chris 4 or 8 times the running back of those guys? So even though you have seen all of these backs compete and you claim "using Mitchell sparingly in that offense would make folks forget about Sensabaugh", we are laughing at you! Sensabaugh is 4 times better, in half as many games, deal with it. By the way, you almost got beat by North, you should worry about that more then DB or Science Hill. Also, does DB have the honor of drilling TN High again next year? I mean Bristol media called the TN High win an upset. I remember after DB beat TN High in week 0 42 -13 the Bristol media claimed that it was not that bad of a loss. For a laugh go to www.tricities.com and watch the Touchdown Friday Night. They say TN High upsets Sullivan North. Upset, you kidding me? From tssaa; TN High = 1342 students, North = 638. Injuries or not, an upset? What a stretch! Since people love to knock DB for having numbers, we should have a math class. North has 47% the student body as compared to TN High. North lost (21-19) but scored 90.4% of the points TN High scored. TN High = 1342 students and DB has 1942. TN High has 68% the student body that DB has. TN High lost 42-13, scoring 30.9% of the points. Looks like TN High is not playing to their level. Also, some claim North gains benefit of DB players leaving? Guess that means the DB vs TN High score coulda been 56-13 if no transfers had left.

You are right about the dates. Time flies. DB vs MBA was a classic that needs to be repeated. Huge crowds, tough football, each game went into overtime. I hear DB may want to get back up that way, though expense might hurt that idea. Hey, I have an idea. MBA vs DB at DB two years in a row! Ha!

I am a bit confused as to what you are asking. Safe? DB has had well over 12,000 many times with no incident. In fact, DB is increasing the seating capacity by putting a horseshoe to round out the stadium. This is the talk, though not official yet. Renovations are coming soon though. Safe as to Mboro schools? I would not know. I guess if too many folks are standing maybe so. As to your question about DB and other schools, our system is set up different then Rutherford. We have 2 city and 1 county system in Sullivan County (which has about 155,000 residents). Kingsport has a few private area schools and Sullivan South, Sullivan North, and Sullivan Central taking on many Kingsport area kids.
