I Don't know how you think you could be rated higher than Oak Ridge. They went further than Jeff COunty did last year and they got almost everyone back. You don't have a leg to stand on there. Like I said just wait, the respect will come.

Ladies and Gentlemen speed can't save you from falling victim to Lamon. He has gone up against backs just as fast or faster than Sullivan North has. It is his all out top speed, side to side, and ability to jump. Add that to good hands(many times one handed), a sense for the ball, and the ability to read a defensive back. So far nobody has stopped Lamon. Now North could have someone, but lets let our actions speak and play ball.

Any info you get on that would be appreciated. I wonder if that will hurt or help the team.

Dobyns Bennett was also missing two key starters during the regular season game so don't use that as an argument. Also, Jpats5 was loved by nobody on here. So study his post and you will learn why people are touchy about him and how he represented Jeff County. Also nobody wants to hear about Jeff county beating DB on an internet board. You are beating a dead horse like JPATS5. Just let them prove it on the field.

I agree Dirtysouth04. Jeff County seems to have the right ingredients, they just gotta put it all together, play hard, and get a little luck and they could be in the mix. It can happen. Nothing is ever certain though.

It all depends on the school system and if the football team is bringing in bank. There are some great teams with bad facilities because of the school system they are in. Also some of the worst teams have excellent facilities given by the system. there are so many variables.

All that sounds logical except that places in the Eastern part of TN have less population. You did not mention that. That is why there are less schools. There is no advantage to the East. In Memphis there are many more people which means more talent. It is divided up. Sure there are lots of schools with a 40 mile draw in the east, but many of these are horrible in athletics. I totally disagree with your reasoning. If you combined Mitchell and Westwood, you would be one of the largest 5A schools. That does not gurantee a great team. If you have Mitchell and Westwood playing with schools their size now, why can't they win more? It is the same talent playing at a smaller level. That argument makes no sense either. If anything Memphis has an advantage with open enrollment. The best players should all collect at one school. You can't do that in the East.

I think that Science Hill and Bearden both will see vast improvements from last years squads. Both teams have so much potential if they can harness that.
