  1. The game going to the wire will benefit both teams in the long run
  2. Good win for Owls. Who is the toughest opponent on your schedule that is left now Owls fans?
  3. Don't worry Owls, the refs will get you another favorable call.
  4. There are 2 more flags for the Owls favor. There is no home cooking at DB, get over it
  5. how about the flag where the Owls player knocked down the DB receiver in the end zone? No call. Advantage Owls, DB would have a 10 point lead
  6. Owl fans, everyone in the tri-cities upper East TN area hates DB. Easily the most hated school in that area. They are the overall best athletic and academic school in the area. DB does not get calls their way at home, unless the ref makes a mistake. DB would prefer to play outside of the tri cities area where they can get an evenly called game. Most refs played at other area schools.
  7. http://cent5.serverhostingcenter.com/start/ypuuzdnq/ cut and paste
  8. Duran Fergusaon versus North in 2004
  9. gobears89, you did not give DB their due. DB has owned Sevier County. Keep your 2011 so called "miracle" or "believe" game. Hang on to that one as long as you can. Facts are DB has won 11 of 12 games played at Sevier County. DB owns the series at 24-7 overall. Hang on to that 2011 game and pretend it is the only game that counts.
  10. Pretty great game, but don't get the facts wrong. It was 15 minutes not 7. This game happened in 2011 and before that game DB Won 11 of 12 versus Sevier County including the DB win in the regular season of the same year. In 2012 DB won 2 games against Sevier County. The series is at 23-7 in favor of DB.
  11. DB plays East Hamilton. Maryville has scrimmaged both now. Can a Maryville fan compare the two teams and a little about what might be expected from each? Thanks
  12. Some stats I found through various articles. Before the renovation there were about 3,800 season ticket holders. That number will be closer to 4,500 now. The stadium capacity before the renovation and before the endzone seating opposite of the band was at about 8,000 seating. I think that number includes the baseball stadium, which would be like end zone seating in a college stadium. Add the renovation and the additional endzone seating, you should be at about 9,000 seated. The baseball stadium, being further from the field is always the last area to fill up. People would rather stand close to the field, then sit in the baseball area, unless there is rain or if you have a family and/or are older and need to sit. The athletic director stated about 2 years ago that games averaged 5,000 (bad night) 7,000 (average night) and 10,000 (good night). The stadium has had games approaching 15,000, the last would have been DB vs Science Hill 2012. I now teach and coach in the Nashville area and have also been to every major high school football venue in the state. I can say that at far as fan turnout, no school comes close to Dobyns Bennett in football.
  13. My point is, given the stats of the DB-East Hamilton game you can not say that East Hamilton dominated DB. Again here are the stats First Downs 15 7 Rushing Att-Yards 48-258 25-72 Passes Comp-Att-Int 7-14-4 6-16-0 Passing Yards 65 90 Total Offense 323 162 Fumbles-Lost 3-0 1-1 Penalties/Yards 11-85 7-71 Punts-Average 3-44.0 5-32.0 Tell me again how East Hamilton dominated DB on the field? DB racked up yards and gave you 3 turnovers. I recognize the score, but physically....no. And sorry no matter what you think, your efforts would fall way short against Maryville in a game. Again DB has beaten Maryville in scrimmages before, and later been whipped in a game.
