I know the principal and superintendant weren't too friendly toward one another, so I think the superintendant got her out of their as soon as she could. I also know that coach Finley and the A.D. have made a decision on a guy, they are just waiting for someone with the school board to hire this guy. Something may still happen where it doesn't come out like that, but it should be kind of decided I think.

Yeah Big Country, I was wondering if you've heard anything about the head job and assistant football, and also who the school might name as assistant baseball coach if they bring in a new head coach. You seem to know much more about the school than I do. Thanks.

Has anyone heard anything about the new assistant football and head baseball coach that they are getting? Who will be the assistant coach if a new head coach is brought in?

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this job. I know it is going to be an assistant football coach as well as baseball coach. Anybody have any news at all on this topic? Any info will be appreciated. I have heard some things but want to know if they are true or not.

Fayette Academy has lost in the first round. They lost to Greenfield in the first round at Greenfield in 2001. Just thought I'd point that out!

Mckenzie will be a better team I agree, but they won't have the horses to win the thing. I can't believe people are writing off Union City. Someone has got to knock them off first. Lake County and Union City battle for one with Union City winning a close one. Lake County two, Mckenzie three, West Carrol, Bruceton and Greenfield battle for 4.

First of all, Stewart County is trying to pick up wins by scheduling some of the smallest schools in 1A in the state. They have Greenfield and Gleason on the schedule. Last year Gleason beat them, while Greenfield was in a terrible rebuilding year. This year Greenfield will beat them as they return anybody who can actually play, and maybe Gleason wins too. Just because they win a game or two here or there doesn't mean anything if they aren't beating teams at their level. I think I admire the players for trying, but I can't believe a school as big as they are has that few athletes. Just remember those games Gleason and Greenfield. If Stewart County loses one or even both of those games then they aren't getting any closer to making a run. I will say one thing though, I have been making trips to Cheatham county as I am fixing to take a coaching job there and I have seen Stewart County working on the field in mornings and afternoons every time I've been by. Good luck guys, but you're not ready for a "run" yet.

I am not from mckenzie, from greenfield. I believe that Mckenzie will probably...believe it or not...be a better football team than they were last year. The line and running game will probably be better as it was non-existant last year. I also believe they will still be able to throw pretty well even without hayes. The team will be pretty good, but they won't have the horses to beat Union City or Lake County. They finish third in region and have a chance to win the first round game at JCS or Fayette Academy. Union City wins region followed by Lake County. Lake County could win it, but they aren't very deep. Injuries could kill them. West Carrol, Bruceton, and Greenfield fight for last playoff spot!

I was just wondering what you guys think about this school. I don't know much about it as far as sports go. Was wondering what school to put my kids in in cheatham county where they'll have the best sports teams. How is the football and baseball at cheatham central?

I am from weakley county so I know a bit about dresden and westview. First, Westview will not make the playoffs. No way. They lost a lot and the cupboard is pretty much bare. They only beat gibson county in the region this year. Dresden doesn't have the numbers at skill positions to win the thing. I think they'll finish 3 or 4 in region. Milan and Huntington battle for 1 2. Dresden, humbolt, and trenton for 3 and 4.

Has David Barger from Lake County applied for this job?

I know this place is mostly devoted to middle and east tennessee, but what are some inputs on region 7 & 8? I know I hear Union City and Lake County...And Jackson Christian and Fayette Academy. Who's the best? What about McKenzie a team that just 4 years ago went to the semi finals in AA two years in a row. How about some feedback.

Ok Wardawg. Thanks for getting back to me. I was kidding when I said that you shouldn't take coach Puckett. I think he's the best coach I've ever been around, and you should take him if you can. I hope he doesn't see what I wrote earlier, or he'll probably yell at me. Anyways I appreciate your honesty and I hope it goes good for you guys. I know you'll probably hire coach because anyone who meets him knows how great he is. I just wish Greenfield was smart enough to open up a spot for him. Oh well....

He lives next to a family member of mine, so I asked him about it. He said he is in talks for several spots, but Lake County is #1 on his list. We here at Greenfield were supposed to offer him a job, but I guess vaughn is screwing that up too. I hope we can keep him he is great, but wherever he goes he will greatly improve their team. Does anyone have any news, opinions, or anything really to say about 8 1A? I know the region as a whole will be improved. I figure Union City won't be as strong, but will still be the team to beat. Gleason and South Fulton will still be bad I guess. Greenfield Bruceton and West Carrol Fight for last play off spot. Mckenzie and Lake County see who can score the most. And Union City eats up the spoils of being the big fish in a small pond. And has anyone heard anything about some new assistant coaches at Union City and Lake County? I can't believe that S.F. is still winning in the big ones percentages on this game. South Fulton has a middle school line, and will get absolutely dominated. After they lose this game, they'll be out of the playoff picture. That's great, because frankly I can't stand S.F. They get so much press and so much credit when they are really terrible. whatever you guys from S.F. want to tell yourselves, but the fact is when we put up 21 quick points, we just sat on the ball and ate up the clock. Did you notice that we only threw the ball like twice the whole second half? We knew you guys didn't have a good offense, so we sat on the lead. We could have put up thirty five at least, but we played conservative. I wouldn't have, because I would have tried to beat S.F. as bad as I could, but Blackman isn't like that. So we sat on it....deal with it.

Contrary to 79% of the big ones voters, Greenfield handled S.F. pretty easily last friday. Now, a pretty good Bruceton team comes calling for the jackets. What are your thoughts on how this one will go?

Yeah that's right Greenfield has too much tradition. By your name glsn5, I'm guessing you're from gleason which has the worst football team year in and year out in the state. I saw you guys one year in the polls were ranked under the Tennessee school for the deaf. (seriously). Yes, we have tradition that is why we have a smaller school than you do, but compete every year, where as GLEASON is the biggest laughing stock in football. You guys should do away with your program and give the money to your girls basketball. (that's sad). What do you guys think will happen friday night as these old rivals come together. Greenfield made S.F. their homecoming, and Greenfield ruined S.F.'s homecoming three years ago. What are your oppinions here?
