  1. From the way I saw it, Clintons D shut down every one even fulton in Team they had a passing session , but once it got to running and putting pressure on the QB Clinton's defense was awsome, they had a few bust, but this is a new defense they're running. Cobb was injured not sure how bad, but best of luck to him in recovery, and to the rest of everyone. Clintons O-line is young and they had a few starters from it out. when they were in individual 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 drills Clinton's line killed heritage .. I think Clinton should shock some people this year, it's just gonna take more repition
  2. For Clinton it's Aug 4, at their practice field 3 way scrimmage fulton and heritage not sure what time. I think a week later they scrimmage Scott Co. on the 11th up there and then on the 16th they go to Greeneville for a scrimmage.
  3. Hassan Abdulrahman from Clinton, made 4A preseason all-state according to the murphy fair magazine. great punter that's for sure
  4. Revel Coffee, I think that's who he's speaking of. Paris, looks pretty fast as well though, but i don't think he's 4.47 maybe 4.6
  5. Spencer Gulmirer is the only freshman I've ever witnessed play 5A football when it really mattered, his freshman year against Clinton, the final score was 27-20, o.r. won, but gulmirer had like a 60 yrd. run for a TD
  6. O-line is probably the hardest all together, but mentally it's QB, if he's a good one, knowing what the o-line suppose to do , when to check off plays , knowing what everyone on the offense is suppose to do ,who to block, play fakes, passing routes, everything it's mentally the toughest.
  7. alot of 4a Schools have there freshman teams seperate, so do some of the bigger 3A's like AC only lets a few freshman on the varsity team, just for depth when they dress out.
  8. haha , yea, best to luck to Coalfield maybe make it to the borro, came up a little short last year but it's a new year and a new record bring another one back to East TN
  9. Where can you get the magazine around the knoxville area?
  10. Didn't say there was any fault, just saying he's originally from Clinton, and then he got into an argument w/ his dad or somthin , and he moved, he was truley missed by everyone he played with in middle school but he's doing Coalfield well and I hope he keeps it going he's a great guy and a stellar RB, you were trying to say Clinton needs to be lookin at people, which is false, maybe AC but defintely not Clinton they're most defintely getting better everyday, it'll be a few years before they can compete w/ the toughness of the region but they'll be up there.
  11. He use not be, he switched where he lived, he use to live w/ his mom I do believe, cause he played middle school w/ the 2002 Clinton middle School hawks in football, and then that summer he moved. so yes he was going to go to clinton.
  12. Try playing in the toughest 4-A region in the state, and having the toughest schedule in the state, cause that's what Clinton has . and Coalfield, has Matt Bunch and Brandon Davis, from Clinton , both great guys BD is a stellar RB and Bunch is just a big ol boy he's pretty fast for his size to.
  13. Clinton has 2 upcomin sophomres 6'4 280 6'5 296 2 seniors 6'1 300 6'0 305 a junior that's 6'1 290, and another one that's 6'4 265
  14. Eric Hensley-Clinton-Vandy Baron Huber- Powell- Alabama Cassen Jackson-Knox Central- Vandy
  15. Clinton will suprise some people.
  16. Clintons is pretty nice to , it's old but nice .
  17. Clinton , just look at week 1 and 2, O.R. then Maryville.
  18. Didn't the defensive coordinator from AC go to Onieda as well, I thought that was what Lambert was or was he the OC, his son went w/ him as well and he had some good speed.
  19. The RB is defintly big and fast, i watched them scrimmage AC very tough scrimmage with AC passing more than ever, but Mowest is defintly a very big team, had some fast guys at the skill positions
  20. I remember Glenn Harness from Farragut back in the late 70's i beleive , he kicked off, played runnin back (holds the 2nd all time leading rushing at Farragut, it got broke in the early 90's i believe) returned kick offs, punted, and returned punts (he held the record in the state for longest punt return for TD , but it's tied now)and played Defense.
  21. 1. Maryville- The best until proven wrong 2. Powell- Alot of athletes coming back, very strong 3. Central- Alot of athletes but alot playing both ways 4. West- Been rebuilding but return alot of speed 5. Clinton- Young but ready to start contending 6. Halls- Probably not ready w/ the new coach.. 7. L.C- Got to prove they can hang w. 4A 8. S.D.- Still really young could suprise some
  22. Melrose made alot of good licks in the State game, alot of them looked like helment to helment hits as well, I remember one on the post pattern with one of maryvilles recievers Childs I think it was, he got lit up , but he got back up.
  23. Jim Gaylor - up at maryville, used to be head coach of Clinton did wonders there to. Mike Ingle at Clinton he's the O.C.
  24. Clinton won't beat Maryville or Central , prolly not powell but I bet you they'll hang with everyone else.. the halls game last year.. mistakes... is what made that game get blown away... give Clinton 1 more year , and they'll be competeing w/ Central Powell and Maryville
  25. 7. Clinton - Nobody really cares - but they do have the 2nd best athlete in the region returning at QB. Dye is not returning, from what I hear, if that's who you're speaking of, I think clinton will shock some people this year..
