Sophmore Patrick Johnson from Maplewood High Nashville has to be one of the toughest players in the state to stop (TRY TO STOP). Just ask coach Jeff Porter of state semifinalist White House ( 306 yds. ). He's probably not the fastest back but what he lacks in speed he definitely makes up for in sheer POWER. He also has great vision and quick feet. This kid ran for over 1,300 yards in 9 games( suspended last game of season vs Whites Creek ) in his first year at tailback and this was behind an offensive line that started 2 sophmores and 2 juniors who were also playing their first year of varsity football. Patrick totalled most of his yardage vs the toughest teams. ( over 700 yards vs 2004 playoff teams: Hunters Lane, Clarksville N.E., McGavock, Stratford, Hillwood, and White House ). I also feel Graig Cooper from Memphis Melrose, Preston Brown of Nashville Antioch, and Antonio Lewis of Nashville Hillwood are all very hard to handle.
