  1. Oh yeah one more thing....What happened to you guys against Farragut last year???????Soddy whipped them pretty good
  2. And just to set the record straight..Bill Price did make significant changes in the football program at Soddy..and he was the first coach that I remember ever guiding SD to the playoffs and a region title and their first win over Red Bank and coach weathers in like 13 years...his first year they went 4-6 big wins that year was over McCallie and Brainerd ...some of the players that year included qb Johnny Forgey...fb Jason Hodges..rb Chastain and Jarvis Smith..wr Wes Hughes and Spencer reeves...wr/kicker Chad Brown..lb Stacy Beason and Stanley McGraw..tb Cedric Tulloss.they whipped Ooltewah like a red headed step child while Price was there...TheRyan took over afterwards and kept the program winning but not like they wanted....How fiiting that the coach they envied in Soddy is now their head coach....OWLS IN 05..as long as they keep kevin burke as the water boy!!!!!ha ha ha by the way Grad back up off my homeboy knoxsoddy we might have to unleash some Soddy karate on ya's....Git r dun
  3. If it were up to me I would hire Zach Sanders and let Kevin burke be the Rehydration Coach or better known as WATER BOY!!!!!!
  4. Have no fear Raider fans the "Price" is right when it comes to football...He gets his players to give everything they got on the field....I remember we at Soddy were in the same situation when our top running back at the time Jarvis Smith was graduating that year.and out of no where a promising young freshman Lydel Blue took the field against Smith Co..and blazed their defense for miles of yardage...Bill will have things ready to go come time for the season...He's a good coach...
  5. I too agree that is a pretty good list......With Oak Ridge and Ooltewah returning almost all their key players..and ofcourse the always dominate Riverdale...
  6. chris ricketts and daniel atchley who are both gonna be seniors this coming season from Soddy-daisy are two of the best possesion recievers I have seen in high school in a long time.....They don'y have blazing speed but they are big and strong and can jump with the best of them...Oh yeah and they have great hands as well...the new qb at Soddy is gonna have a field day with defenses this year having those two recievers on his team

    Region 3-2A

Seems to me that pretty much evryone is riding the ramtrain to the region title....But my opinion is that the Bucs have their cannons loaded and I do believe they will blast the ramtrain off its rails and win the region....
  8. As far as teams go Red Bank has to be the favorite in this region, with Rhea,Walker Valley, and Cleveland close behind
  9. Soddy wasn't a winning program until Price came there in the mid 90's..He's a good one....Hope you guys in Red Raider country keep the success going for a long time...I had family that went to school their back in the day and even ventured to a few ball games...
  10. those last two lines were pretty funny!!!!I think they can win a few games...key word FEW!!! 2,3maybe?4 but no more than that!!! teams that will beat them Ooltewah Oak Ridge Soddy-Daisy Farragut William Blount Cleveland Walker Valley the other three i don't know yet..
  11. Well it takes alot from these understaffed teams to put a solid season together...But the one thing these coaches have here in hamilton county is kids that want to play no matter what...they understand the situation and alot of the seniors and juniors that have been around for awhile take the younger kids under thier wing and show alot of leadership....I believe there are some championship coaching staffs in town.....Tim daniels has a great program at Red Bank...ofcourse Tom Weathers and coach Kraig up in Soddy are doing well...Tim james did well with East Ridge....And Gatewood had a solid program at Ooltewah..and there still is a solid program at Ooltewah..Look at Wayne Turner at Tyner who has been understaffed for awhile and winning.....so I think the programs are fine...but it sure would help to have those assistants back...But either way chattanooga will still go on playing football watch out for the Owls in 05.....
  12. please do not do coach allen a disservice by expecting wins over certain teams already..yeah I do believe they will have way better success this season with coach allen 3-7 or 4-6 maybe, but it;s gonna take a few years before Bradley is back on top...Coach Allen knows how to get the kids out for football, and he knows how to get them prepared...just be patient and let coach do what he does best!!!
  13. first off all soddy needs is a qb..the rest is there......secondly it will take coach allen a few years to make the turnaround...he didn't do it over night at LFO and it won't happen that way at Bradley....But don't be discouraged give Allen a few years and bradley will be back in the hunt with Soddy,Ooltewah,Oak Ridge,Farragut, and my surprise this season will be McMinn County...
  14. Red Bank won region 4-4a with a predominately freshman and sophmore varsity squad last season..So look for a more experienced underclassmen varsity team this year that should repeat as 4-4a champs....I am gald to see AE and RB playing each other this year..both teams have winning traditions and strong programs..should be a donnybrook of a game...
  15. excellent choice for the program in Tim james...he knows how to win and with that caliber of team he can win the region and make a strong run for state....
  16. I think it's a great learning tool for the younger guys to be involved with...I don't know if he participated in the camp last year but Gary Orr was one of the best last year at pulling off the play action....You guys do great with those kids coach K....
  17. the valley has some strong programs...sequatchie keeps getting better and better...Marion has tradition and whitwell is moving forward as well...It won't be long until we see one if not more of these valley teams making it a long way into the post season....
  18. Ooltewah and Oak Ridge will be one for the ages OR and SD will be a big one DB and OR DB and TN
  19. Riverdale,Oak Ridge,Franklin,Ooltewah,Cookeville will be front runners in 5A Maryville,Melrose,Hillsboro should be the favorites in 4A..but watch out for Red Bank in the next year or so...this team won 4-4a last year with a predominately freshman and sophmore team..expect these guys to throw a monkey wrench in someones hopes and dreams..and knox central looks very good this season Fulton and Austin East own 3A Alcoa should be the favorite in 2A but don't count out defending class A state champs DCA and 2 time runner up and a state champs in single A in the past three years Boyd-Buchanan along with Cak from single A moving up this year Trousdale and Mt Pleasant look pretty good for now...Temple could go along way as well moving into single A.......But as we all know preseason don't mean much...We expect certain teams to be in certain places come playoff time ,but who knows.anything is possible
  20. temple s.pitt Grace whitwell still the number 4 seed in this region even with no boyd buchanan LV Silverdale
  21. Well whoever takes over that program has got a great shot at establishing himself as the head coach at Ooltewah as long as he wants the job considering the talent on that team ...anything short of region championship with that caliber of a team would be a disappointment...I know Soddy-Daisy,Oak-Ridge,Farragut and Mcminn County are in that region and that it is one of if not the tuffest AAAAA regions in the state, but With Caldwell,Woods and the O-line back and the D-line with two of the best linebackers in the state in Kyler Burke and Blake McDade and a strong secondary this team SHOULD be unstoppable...I will even go as far to say that Riverdale should be the only team in the state in AAAAA favored to beat these guys....Thats just one mans opinion!!!!!! I love Ooltewah...it's my second home next to Soddy where i grew up..great students ,great athletes completely awesome fans that support their Owls... God Bless you guys this up and coming season and good luck to the new coach..not like he's gonna need it though with this team!!!! Too bad they have to put up with KB........Just kidding brother!!!
  22. CSAS has a good team they like to keep the pace of the game fast...Howard just controlled the tempo of the game..Coach Higgins knew what it would take to beat the Patriots and he controlled the pace of the game.....CSAS overrated..uh not hardly. They have a good team..If Marsh would work on his shot a little more he would score more points. The kids got more moves than a Uhaul truck but his shot could use some work..On the otherhand I liked Michael Ford from Howard..He is only a sophmore but the kid has all the potential to be tops in Chattanooga. And Allen Ray did a great job controlling and running that Howard offense..
  23. I think friday nights CSAS vs Howard game was awesome myself Howard 55-CSAS 52
  24. How is it that in the coacht top 20 fan poll for Girls basketball McCallie is ranked 19th when McCallie is an all boys school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 JUST CURIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. Franklin looked very impressive....they went from 8th to second.....they were in 8th before the consolations and quarters....
