Wow. I really didn't see that coming....the same way Jesse Johnson didn't see Johnson coming when he knocked the crap out of him. I know we lost the game, but that was an awesome hit, on to the game. CC defense suprised me the first few possesions of the game by completely stopping LC. I honestly thought that we would have a shootout in this game, which wasn't the case. It all really came to an end when Johnson was ejected from the game. In all honesty, with the offensive line blocking like they were, we had no chance after he got thrown out. It really hurt on defense when Jesse Bowman went out, who was responsible for almost 200 tackles last year. It's really not looking good for next week with Heritage beating Seymour, and us without Johnson. But overall, LC is a pretty decent team, the only reasib they will possibly go 5-5 is because they're in the toughest region in the state. CC really needs to regroup and hit the practice field. I'm not giving up on the season quite yet though, we'll come back.

Let's see....No CC transfers the last 4 years, THAT MATTERED, No playoffs in the 4th year. See a trend? AC goes 5-5 at best. Coach Wells also called them and asked to play, they kindly refused. ha

Although Johnson is obviously our best player, we have a couple other guys that could start for most any teams in the area. The Junior QB Brance Stiner is a very good player that could probably start for any team in our region, maybe not DB...i dunno. The FB Josh Howard is a pretty good player, his first year starting. And the whole offensive line is huge. On defense, Jesse Bowman was 1st team all-region last year and should have over 150 tackles this year. Johnson goes for 220 with a couple TD's. That kid has worked pretty gard to get where he is at obviously is seems. That si just my point of view on the talent issue, I just can't see anyone for Lenior City be able to match him. You will see what I'm saying when Friday rolls around. Hopefully my boys will get it together on Defense before then and keep working on what we started last year. Good Luck to Lenior City and maybe we can compare players after Friday...lol

I really hope you all have had a complete turnaround in every aspect of the game from last year with this kind of talk. I know last year you all just didn't play as a team whatsoever and just fueded the whole game. But good luck to ya....except against CC.

Johnson from Campbell Co.

This should be a pretty good game this week, that sounds like the talent level is just about the same...besides one guy....Chris Johnson. I would be willing to bet that no one on Lenior City's roster can touch the talent that Johnson has. I don't know too much about the defense on LC but they need to look out. The defense for CC is definetely not what it has been the past 2 years, but they have some thing to build on. The CC D lost 8 starters from last year, including 5 1st/2nd team All-Region players. We did lose the DC, but the replacement knows the entire defense and should be fine. I'm gonna say this is a pretty close game, with a little bit of points scored. CC-28 LC-24

Campbell Co scrimmaged Sullivan South this evening, and a decently close game. I think that the score was 2-2, 1 TD coming from the freshmen of CC. The offense is going to be key for CC this year, losing 8 starters on defense. They are ready to carry the load though, with a very talented backfield and a HUGE offensive line, could be the best offense since the twins left for AC?????? CC is in real good position to win atleast 6-7 games and make the playoffs for the second year in a row.

I didn't play this kid at receiver, but we played him at qb and he was a real good athlete.

Well I didn't expect Campbell Co. to get any respect, but that far down in the region?Leonard was even picking us last year. I played last year and this is my opinion... 1. DB(8-2)-I don't see anyone knockin them off this spot for a while. Although they lost a lot of seniors...I also played against their 2nd and 3rd team.....they'll be OK. 2. CC-(7-3, 6-4?)Campbell is going to have a strong running game with their entire offensive line getting upsized although they are losing some experience there. They have the QB coming back who had a very solid junior season before being injured. If they can just find someone for him to OCCASIONALLY throw it to. The defense will be bigger and stronger, but not nearly as quick or mature. But i think Coach Wampler will take care of that before the season gets here. Hopefully they put up a better game this year against DB than we did last year. 3. Seveir Co(6-4)-Always a very big, strong and well coached team...didn't lose much from last year. I figure them to compete for the runner-up spot. 4. Jefferson Co.(5-5,6-4)-Has the running back coming back, who's a good player. But if anyone effectively stuffs the box on them....they're beat. Something we couldn't do for some reason last year.... 5. Science Hill-(4-6)-Worst coached team in the region, outside of Bearden in my opinion. Had a chance to beat Karns last year, took a timeout and still didnt know the play on the goaline in OT......always has some of the best athletes, but never makes the most of them. 6. Karns/Bearden-I don't know if Bearden has fired their coach or what yet but either way them and Karns will fight for the bottom spot. Karns lost everything...Bearden had nothing to lose...

I think the cougars will at least MATCH the win total of our team last year. With Johnson and Stiner returning you have a very strong base for the offense. On Defense we have a lot more size and strength this year . . might be lacking on the quickness and experience though. With Coach Wampler running the D they'll be just fine though. Little different posting on here as a NON-PLAYER this year....lol And Shaggnasty, I'm sorry but there is NO WAY we're losing to Clinton again this year....

I saw OR play earlier this year before season started and they have just a LITTLE more than Spencer. They're whole team is good, they have a real good TE too...even though they don't throw the ball enough. He made the best catch I've ever seen in high school. Beat em OR, I wanna see the rematch with DB. I don't really think this game will be that close, it will be for 1 half..but OR pulls away in the 2nd half. OR - 31 Farragut - 13

I'm definetely gonna come to this game, but I just don't see Farragut even hanging with OR for that long. Maybe in the first half they're within 14, but OR pulls away in the 4th qtr. Oak Ridge - 31 Farragut - 13

Curt dog is gonna tear it up this year and throw a couple down, Housley is a pretty good player that I think could start at a lot of high schools in the area....and why isn't anyone talkin about our best player, also our WR, #2 Josh Allen. If this guy doesn't get an attitude this year he'll be real good.
